Hours after the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the death of Russell Armstrong from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," his estranged wife, Taylor Armstrong has released a statement.
According to People.com, the statement reads, "Taylor Armstrong is devastated by the tragic events that have unfolded. She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter."
The statement went on to read, "Her thoughts and prayers are also with Russell's 11 and 13-year-old sons."
The city coroner's office says he hanged himself, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.
The upcoming season, which is set to debut on Sept. 5, highlights Taylor and Russell Armstrong's failing marriage and ultimately their decision to get divorce
