Both Bruce Jenner and Lamar Odom are starting the new year with severed Kardashian ties, and if Hollywood Life's sources are to be believed, Jenner is giving his former son-in-law a few tips about dealing with Kardashian exes.
In an hour-long phone call on Jan. 1, Jenner reportedly told Odom to "hope for the best but expect the worst when it comes to that show and what they're going to reveal because this is how they survive — by putting everything on the table."
Jenner, who split from his wife of 22 years, Kris, also encouraged Odom to move past not only his relationship with Khloe Kardashian but also the allegations of drug use and cheating that their public split raised.
"He told Lamar to forget about everything that happened in 2013 and not drag all the drama, defeats and embarrassments with him," said the source. "Bruce told him, 'It will eat you alive and ruin any progress if you stay in the past.' He also told Lamar to stay off the websites and turn the TV off and not listen to gossip about him. He basically gave Lamar a lot of advice and mental support."
