Naomi Watts on 'Diana' and Celebrity Status
Playing Princess Diana in a forthcoming biopic about the late princess of Wales has given Naomi Watts reason to think more seriously about her own celebrity status and its effect on her personal life. "[Diana] was properly isolated because of the media attention and, as a result, paranoid. She didn't know who to trust and that is horrible," Watts tells Vogue's new Australian issue. As for her own life with partner Liev Schreiber and their two young sons, Watts says she "won't allow" anyone to prevent them from doing "normal things," like picking up the kids from school.
"You can also add to the problem if you do the secretive thing, putting up the umbrellas and all that. It creates more allure that way," she says. "I think it's better to go out with messy hair. They might write that I look tired or old or something, but they are going to pick on something regardless." "Diana" has no set release date yet. Watts’ film "The Impossible," which tells the story of a family living through the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, is in theaters now. (Celebitchy)
