Forbes Names Oprah the Most Influential Celebrity in America
"Thank you, Lance Armstrong." We imagine that thought ran through Oprah Winfrey's head at some point when she learned she'd been named the most influential celebrity in America by Forbes for the second year in a row. In one of the biggest "gets" of her career, Oprah sat down with the cycling champion as he admitted to doping for many years, explained why he continued to lie to his fans, and talked about what lay ahead for him now that he's been banned for life from most athletic competition. Trailing Oprah in second place was "Lincoln" director Steven Spielberg, with Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, George Lucas, Bono and Clint Eastwood not far behind.
