Khloe Kardashian admits she drank heavily after split from Lamar Odom
Breaking up is hard to do. Breaking up with a guy you really love and worry about? Even harder. That may be why Khloe Kardashian found herself coping in a way that was out of character after she split from Lamar Odom. "That was a really, really hard time for me," Khloe says in the new issue of Glamour. "It was the first time I had received really negative attention. I've never been a party girl, but [drinking] is something I turned to. I was probably drunk while we were filming season 9." Khloe ended up filing for divorce from Lamar twice before they actually signed off the papers. She also continued looking after her ex as he struggled with addiction issues following their split. While Khloe never felt addicted to the booze, drinking has gotten her in trouble before, which she also acknowledged in the interview. Asked about her 2007 DUI, she said: "That's one of those times you wish you didn't have cameras on you. It was more embarrassing than anything else. I mean, I could have hurt or killed someone. But, you know, that happened. And I dealt with it. And it will never happen again."

Time magazine ranks Selena Gomez among 'women who are changing the world' in 2017
From her acting, singing and producing to her candor about the anxiety and depression she's struggled with, Selena Gomez has inspired millions at just 25 — a fact made clear when she became the first Instagram user with 100 million followers. Now, Time magazine is honoring Selena with a cover in its "Firsts: Women Who Are Changing the World" series, a project dedicated to highlighting for all women and girls other women whose "success says to them that it is safe to climb" to the top, according to the mag's editor-in-chief Nancy Gibbs (via JustJared). "It's already difficult to get up every day and just feel good about yourself without seeing the highlights of everyone else's life," says Selena, who despite her massive social media following has spoken openly about her issues with platforms like Instagram. "That's why I like being vulnerable with my fans on social media," she continues. "I like that they've seen my mistakes. I try to use that as a way to connect with them. That's all I can do. I hope that they know that strength doesn't mean that you have to put on a facade. Strength is being vulnerable." Other cover stars in the series include Hillary Clinton, Ava DuVernay, Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

Bill Cosby faces $1.8M tax lien
Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial may have been delayed until next year, but he has another problem looming in the meantime. The Blast reports the comic faces a $1.8 million tax lien for unpaid state taxes from 2015. According to the tab, the lien remains outstanding and may be difficult to repay given the money he's lost through canceled shows and reruns as a result of the dozens of women who have claimed he drugged and sexually assaulted them over a period of decades. While the trial stems from Andrea Constand's rape allegations, more than 60 women have claimed he attacked them in a similar way. In most cases, the statute of limitations had run out by the time they came forward, preventing his alleged victims from pursuing legal action against him.
Amal Clooney won't return to work until 2018: Report
Next year, Amal Clooney is likely to return to her demanding career in human rights law. But for now, she's focused on the two tiny humans she and George Clooney welcomed in June. A source tells Us Weekly Amal and George are still enjoying their life with twins Alexander and Ella on Lake Como in Italy, adding that Amal is not ready to return to work just yet. "[Lake Como] has been the perfect respite as they come to grips with parenthood," says the insider. "It's their absolute favorite place and it's been an amazing opportunity to spend the summer there with the twins." Echoing sentiments Amal's mother, George's father and others have shared about Amal's love of motherhood, the source noted, "I don't think Amal has ever known how to slow down, but as soon as she had the babies everything made sense. She's really not been thinking about anything other than her precious two. She's taken to motherhood perfectly."
Emma Stone to honor Billie Jean King at U.S. Open
As the world's top female tennis players continue battling to win the U.S. Open, Emma Stone is preparing to celebrate a special tennis anniversary with a woman who inspires her. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Billie Jean King's 1967 triple crown win and the New York Post reports Emma, who plays the tennis legend in the forthcoming film "Battle of the Sexes," is slated to recognize Billie's contributions to tennis with a special ceremony. Emma is expected to be joined by Sara Bareilles, whose song "If I Dare" is featured in the film" and USTA president Katrina Adams. "Battle of the Sexes," which tells the story of Billie's famous 1973 match against Bobby Riggs as well as the story of her own struggle with her sexuality, is due out Sept. 22.

In the new issue of InStyle, the gorgeous, 56-year-old Oscar winner questions our society's problems with the aging aspect of, well, reality. "I mean, let's not talk about this idea of 'Oh, no! I'm going to be 40!' You could be dead. So enjoy it. It's a privilege to age!" she says. "Even in scripts, they'll refer to a character as 'aging.' Well … everyone is aging. Paul Simon, Edie Brickell pledge to help small towns affected by Harvey
When it came to helping victims of Harvey, Texas native Edie Brickell and her husband Paul Simon decided to focus on the needs of those outside Houston, where most media attention has been driven since the storm. The couple announced this week they plan to donate $1 million to Harvey relief in areas outside the city. "People who feel forgotten, you know, in small towns. Out in the country, they lose everything," Edie told CBS News. "Who's gonna help them?" Others who have pledged to help Harvey recovery efforts include Beyonce, Kevin Hart, Sandra Bullock and J.J. Miley Cyrus helps Ellen DeGeneres understand millennials
"One thing people my age don't understand are millennials." So said Ellen DeGeneres this week on her show (via E! News). Acknowledging that she doesn't "like ignorance," she said she asked a pal "to help me bridge the gap between millennials and my generation." Enter Miley Cyrus. The first gap to bridge? Food photos. "Food photos are just kind of like a celebration of life," Miley offered. "I think we take, you know, food for granted and a photo helps remind us of the beauty that's in front of us every single day." Aha! Next up was festivals, which from Ellen's perspective are "hot, crowded" and "dirty." What's the deal? "For a lot of people, it's about being seen," Miley explained. "Everybody goes. There's tons of celebrities there, you know," she scoffed. That's when Ellen had her millennial epiphany: "So if someone posted a picture of themselves at Coachella with food, Instagram would just burst into flames." Finally, Miley helped Ellen understand why people always seem so happy at festivals. It must be because "they're high on life," Ellen suggested. Miley grinned. "Definitely," she said.
