Kudos to Jennifer Garner for getting creative with the viral "10-year challenge" that's been taking over social media in the past few days. While the rest of us were busy mining our archives for a pair of shots from 2009 and 2019 that wouldn't reveal too much in the aging department (come on, admit it), Jen used the trend as an opportunity to crack a joke about her not-so-sexy "big girl panties style" — as well as the endless stream of paparazzi photos she's been the subject of over the past decade. Her 2009 pic shows her leaning over with the top of a ripped pair of pink panties hanging out above the top of her jeans. The 2019 image was Jen in running gear, also leaning over — but this time, yanking up a leg warmer with no torn panties in sight. Her caption? "🤦🏻♀️#getittogethergurl #biggirlpanties #👵🏼but😃." Onward!

Chicago West gets a Mercedes G-Wagen to match Kim's for her 1st birthday
More proof stars are, in fact, nothing like us — particularly when they're of the Kardashian-Jenner variety. Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West's daughter, Chicago West, turned 1 this week. And because it's never too soon to inspire a baby to drop $250 grand on a neon SUV, guess what Chi got from her aunt Kourtney Kardashian? "It's Chicago's birthday and look what Kourtney pulled up with," Kim said in a clip on her Instagram Stories (via Elle), showing off Chi's new miniature version of the same neon Mercedes-Benz G550 4×4 SUV "G Wagen" Kim got from Kanye West on her birthday last year. "We're having our family dinner to celebrate and this is what Chi gets to match Mommy. Oh my gosh, thank you, Kourt!" Kim gushed as Chi and her siblings, North, 5 and Saint piled into and on top of the tiny vehicle (which by the way comes with flashing lights just like the real one). Fun fact: Kim's not the first one in the fam to pick up a G-Wagen. As soon as Kanye gave her the gift, she headed over to her sister, Kylie Jenner's house, where she parked it right by Kylie's neon orange one. Guess they're going to have to carve out one more (very small) parking spot in the driveway …

Katharine McPhee gets emotional about her wedding dress fitting
Katharine McPhee and David Foster's wedding must be on the horizon by now because Katharine's in full-on dress selection mode. She also seems to be taking advantage of having a stylist in the family. On Tuesday, Jan. 15, the singer hopped on Instagram to share an update from the shopping trip she and David's stylist daughter, Jordan Foster, had taken. "Wedding dress fittings today with @jordiefos! It was such a happy day. (It's not the dress, but just wanted to share) ❤️," she posted, sharing a photograph of herself in a veil-heavy white gown. Both David and another of his daughters, Erin Foster, reacted to the post, with the groom-to-be giving his future bride a "like" and Erin commenting, "So cuuuuute," according to E! News. Plenty of non-relatives chimed in, too, including someone who asked Katherine if it was "normal" that the post was making her weepy. "I cried today too!" Katharine replied. "So yes!" Katharine, 34, and David, 69, got engaged last summer on a trip to Europe.
Amber Rose tried dealing crack at one point
Growing up in South Philadelphia, Amber Rose's family fell on hard times following her parents' divorce. As she's said in previous interviews, the situation eventually led her to start stripping at the age of 15. It turns out that's not all she did to earn money as a teen. "I usually don't tell people this but I tried selling crack in my neighborhood," she told Van Lathan on this week's "Red Pill" podcast, according to People. She quickly changed course, having been told dealing drugs was too dangerous for an attractive young woman. "They said I was gonna get robbed, I was a girl and I was too pretty, and it wasn't going to happen," she recalled. Instead, she found a more behind-the-scenes way to get involved in the local drug trade, and spent time earning cash by weighing and bagging drugs instead. As "queen of the house," she said, she did what "I had to do to feed my family." Amber and Van also discussed why this is the first she's revealed that aspect of her past, when she's been so open about her stripper days. According to People, Amber said she felt the weight of the double standard for men and women when it comes to what they may have once done out of seeming necessity. Whereas men can go on to rap about their drug dealer days, for example, Amber pointed out, "It's been nine years since I been famous, I never told that to nobody," adding that things were very "hard" for her after the divorce. "… I became a stripper very young. I made that decision, nobody in my family put that on me," she said. "I don't really think people understand how 'hood I grew up… the s— that I had to overcome, and even overcome after I became famous," she added. "My life has never been easy… [But] it did push me to that limit to go fend for my family." The experience — and the pushback she felt after discovering her controversial past was viewed as more scandalous because she's a woman — likely helped inspire her Slut Walk in 2018. "Regardless of how you dress, that doesn't make you a slut, it doesn't make you a whore," Amber told People in an interview about the festival, an offshoot of the initial Slut Walk in Toronto in 2011. "Those are all just derogatory labels they … use against other women to put us down for being confident in our sexuality without even knowing our past sexual history."
Matthew McConaughey reveals his years-long crush on Diane Lane
Someone needs to give Matthew McConaughey a primer on the relationship between nudity and box office trends. The easy-on-the-eyes star is currently promoting his forthcoming neo-noir film, "Serenity" and it's already getting some buzz about the near-full frontal display of Matthew's bod that's featured in the sultry thriller. "I don't know if that's good for the box office or bad for the box office," Matthew recently told ET as he alternately blushed and laughed bashfully. "Trust me, it's real good," said his costar, Anne Hathaway, with a giggle. Unfortunately for Matthew, the apparently embarrassing questions didn't stop there. Asked if he used a "stunt double" for the scene (ahem), Matthew laughed again. "How much time do we have in this [interview]? This could go long," said the star as he turned red in the face. He seemed more comfortable dishing on another potentially embarrassing aspect of the movie — his major crush on Diane Lane, his other costar. "I told her [about my crush], first thing, too!" Matthew admitted. "I said, 'Do you know long I've had a crush on you, Diane? Since [1989's] 'Lonesome Dove. I told her straight up!" He added that he found Diane was "fun and cool — and she's a great actress." The movie — which tells the story of a fishing boat captain whose ex-wife comes back to ask for help getting rid of her abusive husband, reincarnating some of the sailor's demons in the process — opens Jan. 25.
Kesha shows off her freckles in a makeup-free selfie as she vows to love herself this year
In 2019, Kesha's determined to stay true to the mantra, "I is who I is," which she uses as her handle on Instagram. The singer made a public vow to that effect on Tuesday. Jan. 15, sharing an up-close, makeup-free selfie in which she even showed off the freckles she usually hides. "This year my resolution is to love myself… just as I am, all f—– up and imperfect and whatever else. And to let my freckles liiiiiiiive 🛸🛸💃🏼💃🏼💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻," she captioned the shot. It's not the first recent hint the singer's dropped that she's in a more positive place these days in spite of the ongoing tumult created by her legal battle with Dr. Luke. A similarly hopeful message shines through in "Here Comes the Change," a song about equality freedom and women's empowerment that appears in the new Ruth Bader Ginsburg film, "On the Basis of Sex."

Alicia Keys' sons are less than impressed she's hosting the Grammys
"Meh." That's pretty much how Alicia Keys' sons reacted to news she's hosting the 2019 Grammy Awards on Feb. 10. The singer shared a hilarious video this week that showed her walking into her kitchen, where the sons she shares with Swizz Beatz, Egypt, 8, and Genesis, 4, were playing. Opening her arms wide, she announces, "'Um, I got some good news guys. Guess what, I am going to host the Grammys!" There's a pause as Alicia's arms return to her sides. The clip comes to a close soon after that — but not before Egypt asks the next logical question: "What's the Grammys?" (Psst, Egypt: It's that award for music that your mom has won eight times.) In a statement from the Recording Academy about the news, Alicia said, "I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I'm going to bring that vibe and energy," adding, "I'm especially excited for all the incredible women nominated this year! It's going UP on Feb. 10!"

It's not the only hair transformation we've seen lately from Maisie and her HBO fam. In the fall, Emilia Clarke went from brunette to blonde (yes, Daenerys' ice-colored locks come courtesy of a wig) and went super-short with her cut. The final season of "Game of Thrones" airs April 14, according to JustJared.
