In recent months, Kate Middleton's aesthetic noticeably changed after her longtime stylist and assistant, Natasha Archer, stepped down to launch her own styling consultancy firm. "She has made a big difference to the duchess' wardrobe for public engagements and has helped give her a whole new sense of confidence," Richard Eden wrote for Daily Mail. "Catherine has been really impressed and is very grateful for her help."

Since becoming the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton has been seen in more business-casual pieces. "There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing," a palace insider
told The Times.

"There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public, and she gets that. But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No," the insider continued. "The style is there but it's about the substance."
