The Shortlist for Dec. 30
Pages from Amy Winehouse's teenage-era diary turned up in the trash in London recently, and they point to years of planning for stardom -- and partying. In one of the entries, the 17-year-old lists her plans for "when I get a record deal." The first few include getting her teeth fixed, buying an apartment in London and installing a "sunbed" in her flat. She also writes that she wants to "live like the bombshell I really am." In another entry, titled, "Amy's songs," the soon-to-be-star jots down ideas for boozy lyrics like, "drain my drink & order more," and, "find someone with whom I can come undone." (People)
