In the June issue of SELF, Beyonce opens up about a bunch of body-related issues. You can snag a copy of the magazine on newsstands May 26, but click left for more photos of the superstar and keep reading for a sneak peek of her most revealing quotes from the interview.

On Her "Chicken Wings":

"Ever since I was a little girl, my legs have been curvy and pretty muscular, but my arms have always been really skinny. They were so weak, I could barely hold a mic. But now I can do push-ups! Ten at a time!"

Ten push-ups? Not bad. But how many pull-ups can she do, huh? 'Cause any woman who can do more than one is basically a superhero in my book.

On Sex Appeal:

"To me, its sexier when it doesn't look like you go to the gym. If you look like you've been spending a lot of time in the gym, then it just looks like you spend a lot of time in the gym! So I never want to get to that point where it's not natural. I think it's important to feel like a woman, as well as look like a woman."

Point taken and appreciated, Bey. And I'm sure your many male impersonators feel the same way.

On Being a "Natural Woman":

"I'm not one of those people who doesn't have to work at it. I can't eat what I want, and I can't not go to the gym. I feel best when I'm not really thin and not really heavy, like now, when I'm still curvy. I really believe that everyone is supposed to be different, and whatever is a natural weight for you is usually what looks best."

Now if only she'd write an infectious dance tune called "Curvy Ladies" to really help drive that sentiment home.

On Comfort Chow:

"When I'm completely overwhelmed and tired, comfort food helps. I'll want to have some ice cream. Or when the tour is behind, I'm like, I just want some Krispy Kremes! There's too much good food out there to never indulge. When I'm off, I feel like I've earned [the right] to eat what I want."

Well, in 2008 alone, Beyonce made around $80 million, which means she earned the equivalent of roughly 160 million Krispy Kreme doughnuts. So, if one Krispy Kreme has 300 calories and she ate 160 million of them, that would be 48 billion calories she'd need to burn in her next work-out. What's that, like the rest of her lifetime on a treadmill? No sweat!

On Motivation:

"I look at [a painting of an Oscar], and I'm like, OK, I have to stay in shape."

Beyonce might want to reconsider that goal. Her "Dreamgirls" co-star Jennifer Hudson is a curvy gal who already won an Oscar for a role she had to gain 30 lbs for ... just sayin'.

On Inner Strength:

"Onstage, I'm able to be as aggressive and as sassy as I want to be. And in the movies, I can live whatever fantasy I want. I'm actually really good at angry movies. [In 'Obsessed'], I'm throwing dishes and screaming. I was completely there, so out of my mind, and the producer was like, 'I'm terrified of you. I had no idea you had this in you.' And I was like, 'I didn't either, but it feels really good.'"

Aggression, fantasies, screaming ... I'm starting to get a clearer picture of the secret hellcat (in bed?) that nabbed Jay-Z and made him put a ring on it.
