George Clooney is getting into the habit of hitting the Venice Film Festival with his brunette du jour. Two years ago, the commitment-eluding, two-time Sexiest Man Alive took his romance with Las Vegas cocktail waitress Sarah Larson public by planting a camera-caught smooch on her during a bash.

Now he's sharing the spotlight with Elisabetta Canalis, an Italian TV host whom he reportedly began dating in late July after being introduced by mutual friends in Rome. George, his hand still wrapped in bandages from his recent tussle with a car door, made a glamorous entrance with the little black dress-clad Canalis on Monday evening as they landed in a private helicopter and then hopped on a speedboat.
On Tuesday, they were all smiles as they arrived hand-in-hand at the premiere of the Oscar winner's new comedy, "The Men Who Stare at Goats." But it seems Clooney is a bit rusty when it comes to walking the red carpet with someone on his arm, because he managed to pose with his foot firmly planted on the hemline of Elisabetta's strapless turquoise gown.
Despite the flashbulb explosion caused by their coming out, the budding flames looked relaxed and comfortable, which isn't all that surprising given that they spent much of August getting to know each other better at George's Lake Como villa.
There, says People magazine, they soaked up the sun while kicking back by the pool in Clooney's "secluded garden" and cruising around on his boat. In between, they munched on homemade pizzas cooked in a wood-fire oven by his personal chef. (Yeah, our summer pretty much sucked in comparison, too.)
And for anyone wondering what happened to Sarah Larson, whose 15 minutes quickly ran out after her breakup with Clooney in May 2008, she's gone from slinging drinks to doing the downward-facing dog as a private yoga instructor in Los Angeles, reports FoxNews.com.
"I'm not in touch with George at all," says Larson, who is now dating someone non-famous. "I don't have any regrets."
Another ex who likely doesn't have any regrets is British TV host Lisa Snowdon, who had a fickle romance with the A-lister from 2000 until 2005.

It appears Clooney, or someone using his name, has pledged more than $17,000 to the dark-haired looker in support of her upcoming skydiving jump for charity.
"George was so impressed with Lisa's guts and determination that he wanted to help," a source tells the London Daily Mirror. "Lisa had no idea how generous he would be until she logged on to her Web site and saw how much he had put down."
