Jennifer Garner went into full mama-bear mode on Sunday when she confronted an apparently annoying photographer while out with kids Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4, and Sam, 17 months, at a farmers market in Pacific Palisades.

Garner, dressed down in jeans, glasses and a ponytail, whipped out her cell phone and began filming the shutterbug, a tactic her husband, Ben Affleck, has used with some frequency.

According to E! News, Jennifer gave the pap a "piece of her mind."

Alas, none of it seemed to faze the lensman, who smirked as he continued to videotape the actress.

Last month, Garner joined Halle Berry in testifying for the passage of a new anti-harassment bill that would protect children from paparazzi.

"I chose a public life … [but] my three children are private citizens," Jen explained. "I love my kids. They're beautiful and sweet and innocent, and I don't want a gang of shouting, arguing, law-breaking photographers who camp out everywhere we are all day every day to continue traumatizing my kids."

Matt Damon recently revealed how Affleck accounted for the ever-present paparazzi around Garner: Seems she sells boatloads of magazines in the Midwest.

"Magazines that -- Ben explained this to me -- you and I have never heard of, but that appeal to a mom in the Midwest, who for some reason identifies with Jennifer and wants to know what she's doing as a mom," said Damon "As a result of that, there are always five cars outside their house."
