Sen. John McCain has set the record straight about swirling rumors that his wife Cindy will be appearing on "Dancing With The Stars." Mr. McCain was a guest on "Larry King Live" Thursday night, and he told the talk show host that although they talked about it, Cindy does not plan to be a contestant on the show.

"Well, we discussed it," he tells Larry. "But we decided it just was not a good idea." McCain also pointed out that his wife has had knee replacement surgery. "It would have been very challenging," he says about DWTS. "But I'm proud of her work and charity around the world, Operation Smile, a number of other organizations -- humanitarian efforts that she's involved in and is continuing to be involved in."
