Jennette McCurdy's teen TV series "Sam & Cat" is to be put on hiatus amid rumors of a feud with Nickelodeon bosses.
The actress was missing from the network's Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday and she later blamed her absence on "unfair treatment" by her bosses, adding that she was put in an "uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation."
McCurdy did not give any further details about the dispute, but it has now emerged that the show, which co-stars Ariana Grande, is going on hiatus to give the tired cast and crew a break.

A statement from Nickelodeon reads, "We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of 'Sam & Cat,' and everyone is understandably tired. We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest."
Network bosses have also moved to dismiss rumors of a feud with McCurdy over a set of racy pictures of the star in her underwear which emerged online last month.
