Jessica Chastain may have dropped out of high school, but she's still happy to show off her high school yearbook photo.

On Friday, the "Interstellar" actress posted a picture of herself as a smiling high school student, but she says on Facebook that she actually had a "very difficult time in high school and missed too many days."

She was unable to graduate with her class, but a year later, she received her GED. She then went on to earn a BFA from Julliard with the help of a scholarship from Robin Williams.

More than just the amazing throwback photo, Chastain, 37, says, "I wanted to share this info because I think it's important to know that you can always change your path in life. I am a strong advocate for education. I don't believe that I would be where I am today without the education I eventually received."

She then offers words of advice, "So those of you having a difficult time, please don't leave school. Stick with it and find a class that inspires you. Be proactive in your education. It changed my life and it can change yours."
