The "Baby" hitmaker was on the phone with his pal Mayweather, Jr. when the sportsman, who was attending the BET Awards at the time, learned three of his kids had been caught up in bad road accident.

Bieber happened to be not too far from the scene of the multi-vehicle collision and took it upon himself to head to the location and make sure Mayweather, Jr.'s family was OK.

The incident took place just a day after the 20-year-old pop superstar had spent time with Mayweather, Jr. at a celebrity basketball game, in which Bieber led a team against Chris Brown and pals as part of the pre-party festivities for the BET Awards.

Bieber has also become part of the boxer's motivational team before big fights and has joined Mayweather, Jr. as he walks from his dressing room to the ring with pitch man Lil Wayne.
