Miley's on the mend! More than a week after being hospitalized because of a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, Miley Cyrus is back on her feet. A source confirms to Us Weekly that the "Wrecking Ball" singer, 21, has left the hospital and is now preparing to return to the road for the European leg of her "Bangerz" tour.
"She's doing much better," the insider tells Us. "She had to get it all out of her system. It hit her hard."
As previously reported, Cyrus was hospitalized on April 15 after suffering an "extreme" reaction to the antibiotic Cephalexin, which had been prescribed to her for a sinus infection. "This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases," her rep said in a statement.
As a result of the scare, the "We Can't Stop" songstress was forced to cancel a string of stops on the U.S. leg of her tour. She plans to make up those performances when she returns to the States in August, following her tour in Europe. "Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans," her rep said.
Indeed, the pop star tweeted to her fans that she was "miserable" being laid up in the hospital. "Can't quit crying. I wanna go back on tour," she wrote on April 17. "Im meant to be onstage performing for y'all."
