Pat Sajak is officially leaving
Wheel of Fortune behind, as the beloved host gave his final spin on the Tuesday, June 10, episode of

"I want to thank ABC for the opportunity to host season 5 of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. I hope they'll take a close look at my proposed primetime series, Sajak Senior Secret Agent," Pat Sajak joked at the beginning of the episode.

Pat Sajak's co-host, Vanna White, celebrated the television personality's career, as the duo worked together for over 40 years.
"Sounds like a winner," White said.
"See you next time for more Celebrity Wheel of Fortune," Sajak said, however, he won't be returning to the series.

In 2023, Pat Sajak announced his retirement, but he didn't formally leave his hosting duties until this year.
Entertainment Weekly reported Sajak will continue to work as a consultant for the series for the next three years.
"Well, the time has come," Sajak said in a statement at the time. "I've decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It's been a wonderful ride, and I'll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it'll keep the clickbait sites busy!)"

Suzanne Prete, who works as the executive vice president at Sony, celebrated Pat Sajak's decades-long legacy in television.
"As the host of Wheel of Fortune, Pat has entertained millions of viewers across America for 40 amazing years," Prete said in a statement. "We are incredibly grateful and proud to have had Pat as our host for all these years and we look forward to celebrating his outstanding career throughout the upcoming season."
"Pat has agreed to continue as a consultant on the show for three years following his last year hosting, so we're thrilled to have him remaining close to the Wheel of Fortune family," she added.

Vanna White previously admitted that hosting
Wheel of Fortune without Pat Sajak would be a challenge.
"Everybody relates
Wheel of Fortune to Pat and Vanna. We're like Ken and Barbie, you know?" White told
People. "We've been in everybody's homes for 40 years, so it would be weird having somebody else turn my letters."
"We're a team," she added. "That's depressing. I don't even want to think about it."
Ryan Seacrest has now taken over the star's role.
