Emily recently opened up about her girls, telling Harper's BAZAAR UK's July/August issue they aren't that interested in her fame.
"When I see myself up on a billboard, I have this complete dissociation with it. … I'm like, 'Who's that?'" she said. "And I can see my children doing the same — they might say, 'Oh, there's Mama,' but it's not exciting for them."
So what is? "What's exciting for them is when I can pick them up from school and take them swimming," she shared.
Emily explained that she won't be away from her girls for more than two weeks at a time when she's working on location.
"Because even though they're hardy, and they're used to this strange life, it's still rough on them when I have to go away," she said.

The mother of six hired the 15-year-old to serve as her assistant as she produces the musical, which is an adaptation of S.E. Hinton's 1967 novel of the same name — which Francis Ford Coppola adapted for the big screen back in 1983.
Angelina released a statement to Page Six addressing her new working relationship with her daughter: "Viv reminds me of my mother [actress Marcheline Bertrand] in that she isn't focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives. She's very thoughtful and serious about theater and working hard to best understand how to contribute," the proud mama said.
According to a Page Six source, Vivienne "fell in love" with "The Outsiders" after she she saw a production of the musical in San Diego: "Angelina has been taking her daughter Vivienne to the theater since she was a little girl. Angelina and Vivienne met with S.E. Hinton, who was around Vivienne's age when she wrote the novel," the source said.
A second source revealed that Angelina "wants to ensure the team is listening and working with young people every step of the way, and that their voices are leading in bringing this production to life on Broadway."
Vivienne may be new to the Great White Way, but she's no stranger to Hollywood: She made her acting debut portraying a younger version of Aurora in 2014's "Maleficent."
