So long, Phyllis Diller.
Said to be in failing health having recently suffered a fall, the legendary female comic passed away at her Los Angeles home surrounded by family, TMZ reports. She was 95.
TMZ adds that Diller -- fitted for a pacemaker after a 1999 heart attack -- had been receiving hospice care at her home.
Diller rose to fame thanks to an appearance on Groucho Marx's game show You Bet Your Life in 1955. Diller -- then working as a journalist -- transitioned into a comedy career and made audiences laugh on The Jack Paar Show and on her own self-titled variety show. The comic -- whose routines frequently included anecdotes about her fictitious husband "Fang" and her plastic surgery -- appeared on the small screen on shows including 7th Heaven, Blossom and on The Bold and the Beautiful as Gladys Pope.
Some of Diller's final roles included The Aristocrats in 2005 and on TV Family Guy in 2007, on which she voiced Peter's mom, Thelma.
