Randy Jackson spoke out against the executors of his late brother Michael Jackson's estate on Tuesday. The 50-year-old brother of the late singer called into MSNBC's Politics Nation to clear up the rumors about his mother Katherine Jackson's recent extended absence.
"My mom is doing great. She's relaxing, she's having fun, she's with my sister Rebbie her granddaughter, Stacy, and her great-grandchild, London," he told Al Sharpton. She's been playing cards every day and she's been having a good time. Her health was ailing and it was doctor's orders that she get immediate rest . . . She wasn't doing too well so as her children that's what we did."
The missing persons case filed Saturday for Katherine, 82, by her nephew, Trent, has since been closed, but her granddaughter Paris Jackson has continued tweeting that she has yet to see her grandmother. "Nine days and counting . . . so help me god i will make whoever did this pay," she wrote Tuesday.
"We are a family first and I want everyone to know that." Randy explained. "Yesterday we did go to the home to let Paris and Prince know they can visit with or talk to their grandma at any time. Because we felt that someone was trying to twist the story and make it feel as though we were the problem denying them access to their grandma. When we got to the home we were kind of denied access to our own home by security . . . and that never happened. This is all an effort to deflect attention away from a letter that was written asking for the resignation of John Branca and John McClain."
Why? "Because we feel there is criminal misconduct on their part," Randy said. "And that our brother Michael was not where they said he was on the date that the will was signed and did not, in fact, sign the will."
"They're using the children to try and put pressure on my mom to try and come out and get her to say things in their favor to clean up their image," he continued. "They know that they've been caught . . . and falsified a document and that there are questions we want answered. This family is united to right a wrong."
Sharpton asked, "What is the motive of you and your sisters and brothers in this matter?"
"This is not about money for us as a family. This is not about being left out of a will or a fight over the children. This is about a family that has questions that has lost a family member and we feel that the evidence is right there plain as day. My brother was not in Los Angeles on the day that they swore . . . that he was. He was in New York so therefore the will is fake . . . They have done whatever they can to turn family members against family members."
