Reports claiming the star, 40, agreed to host a weekly talk show for Oprah Winfrey's new cable channel are "absolutely false," her rep tells Us.
The fabricated story, reported by London's Daily Express newspaper, OK! and The New York Post, claimed that salary wasn't a factor for the "Bounty" actress.
"She is doing this for one reason only -- she absolutely wants to do it," the paper alleged, citing a source close to the deal at the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The report also claimed late night talk show host Chelsea Handler played a role in Aniston's decision to take the job.
Although Aniston has made guest appearances on such hit shows as "30 Rock," Aniston has not returned to the small screen on a regular basis since her 10-year role as Rachel Green on Friends.
