Billboard -- Rihanna is ill and has canceled her concert tonight in Boston, only the second city on the singer's "Diamonds" tour, Live Nation announced this morning.
"Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening," the statement reads.
The "Stay" singer kicked off her tour on Friday in Buffalo, NY. "Aside from the star taking the stage an hour later than her scheduled time, this 'open dress rehearsal' went off without a hitch," Buffalo News pop critic Jeff Miers noted.
The Boston show is expected to be rescheduled; the next stop on Rihanna's trek is set for Tuesday in Baltimore.
Rihanna's tour continues through the spring, hitting over 25 cities and wrapping up at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on May 4.
The singer has not commented on Twitter about the tour setback, though on Saturday she was in an upbeat mood.
