Following Saturday's awful incident in which singer Rihanna was allegedly attacked by boyfriend Chris Brown following Clive Davis' pre-Grammys party, we've learned that Brown has turned himself in, was charged with criminal threats (domestic abuse charges could be forthcoming), and is now out on $50,000 bail. But what about Rihanna?

After disturbing reports emerged from TMZ describing her wounds as "devastating" and "horrific," we were glad to read this morning's report from a local news outlet in Rihanna's home country of Barbados, in which the singer's family says she's alright.

"I don't want people to worry," says grandmother Clara Brathwaite, "Rihanna is fine and she is doing well."

While we can't even imagine what Rihanna and her loved ones must be going through right now, after a day of increasingly unnerving new reports and rumors, it's nice to hear something positive, no matter how slight.

The LA Times is also reporting that Rihanna is now cooperating with the Los Angeles police department in their ongoing investigation against Brown.

Our thoughts are with the singer and we hope for her speedy recovery.
