"Iron Man 3" has temporarily suspended its production following an on-set injury suffered by the film's star, Robert Downey Jr.
"Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of 'Iron Man 3' in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt," Marvel Studios confirmed in a statement released today." There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates."
The 47-year-old actor is currently reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the action flick out May 3, 2013. Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Don Cheadle and Sir Ben Kingsley also star.
