Uh oh, big trouble for "Smallville" actor Sam Jones III.

E! News reports that the 26-year-old actor was arrested this morning after cops claim he played a part in a drug deal that intended to sell more than 10,000 pills of oxycodone.

Jones, who played Clark Kent's best friend on the show, was taken into custody by DEA agents who are accusing him of being a "co-conspirator" in a string of major drug deals in 2008.

According to federal court documents obtained by E!, the DEA claims that he was the so-called "Hollywood connection" in a plot to sell the oxycodone.

Jones has been charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and if convicted, he would face up to 20 years in federal prison. He's due in federal court in L.A. later today.
