From 1998 to 2004, HBO's "Sex and the City" reigned supreme as it celebrated a group of friends — four single professional women played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall — living and loving in New York City during the early aughts. Six seasons and two films later, the women are back once again! In celebration of the release of the latest episode of HBO Max's "Sex and the City" reboot series, "And Just Like That…," on Dec. 16, 2021, Wonderwall.com is checking up on what the show's stars have been up to since the iconic original HBO series ended.

Sarah Jessica Parker is synonymous with her character, Carrie Bradshaw. Carrie was the show's protagonist, a witty newspaper columnist and girl-about-town who narrated each episode. She's a true girl's girl.

Sarah Jessica Parker returned for both "Sex and the City" films and she acted in other movies like "Smart People," "Failure to Launch" and "All Roads Lead to Rome." She's also taken on the role of entrepreneur: She launched her first perfume in 2005 and in 2014, SJP championed the SJP collection, a line of fashion-forward shoes she founded with George Malkemus III, the president of Manolo Blahnik. From 2016 to 2019, she starred on HBO's "Divorce." In 2022, SJP will star as Sarah Sanderson in Disney's "Hocus Pocus 2." She's been married to actor Matthew Broderick, with whom she shares three kids, since 1997.

Cynthia Nixon portrayed Miranda Hobbes, a career-minded lawyer known for her piercing wit, feminist outlook and unmatched sarcasm.

Since her time as everyone's favorite cynic, Cynthia Nixon's career has flourished. She reprised her role in both "Sex and the City" films and appeared in "5 Flights Up, "James White" and "A Quiet Passion." She's also acted in Broadway shows like "The Little Foxes," "The Real Thing" and "Wit." The talented actress has also worked on TV shows like "Hannibal," "Alpha House," "The Big C" and "Law & Order." In 2018, she ran for governor of New York though lost in the primary to incumbent Andrew Cuomo. In 2020, she was back on a buzzy show, starring as Gwendolyn Briggs on Ryan Murphy's psychological thriller series "Ratched." As for what's on the horizon? In 2022, she'll appear on the historical drama series "The Gilded Age." The breast cancer survivor (she was diagnosed in 2006) has been married to education activist Christine Marinoni since 2012. They have a son, Max, and Cynthia also has two kids from a previous relationship.

The role of Charlotte York was played by Kristin Davis. Charlotte is known as the sophisticated, reserved and moral lady of the bunch who is the most "by the book" of all the women.

Post-"Sex and the City," Kristin Davis continued to act, though she's never nabbed a role as memorable as Charlotte. She returned for both big screen productions of the beloved show and appeared in films like "Couples Retreat" and "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island." In 2014, she portrayed Ginny on the short-lived TV series "Bad Teacher" and made her Broadway debut in "Fatal Attraction." In 2021, she starred in the thriller "Deadly Illusion." She's also become very involved in humanitarian causes and has worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as well as the Humane Society. In 2011, she adopted daughter Gemma, and in 2018, she adopted son Wilson.

Kim Cattrall starred on "Sex and the City" as Samantha Jones, a highly sexualized femme fatale who worked as a publicist in Manhattan.

Kim Cattrall has kept bust acting on stage and screen since the "Sex and the City" finale. Her film credits include Roman Polanski's "The Ghost Writer," the indie film "Meet Monica Velour" and the TV movie "Ruby Robinson." She also has theater credits in shows like "Sweet Bird of Youth" and "Private Lives." In 2020, she starred on the short-lived FOX series "Filthy Rich." She'll be returning to the small screen in 2022 as Sophie on the Hilary Duff-led "How I Met Your Mother" spinoff "How I Met Your Father." The actress has been married three times and has been in a serious relationship with Russell Thomas, whom she met when he was working at the BBC, since 2016.

Chris Noth portrayed mogul Mr. Big on "Sex and the City." Big — whose real name was finally revealed on the last episode (it's John Preston) — is a wealthy Manhattan mover and shaker with a fear of commitment and a devilishly charming aura.

After "Sex and the City" went off the air, Chris Noth returned to "Law & Order" to portray Mike Logan from 2005 to 2008. He'd also appeared as that character from 1990 to 1995. He acted on the big screen in 2008's "Sex and the City" film and its sequel in 2010 as well as in movies like "Lovelace," "After the Ball" and "White Girl." Chris memorably portrayed Peter Florrick on "The Good Wife" from 2009 to 2016 and acted on the TV series "Tyrant" in 2016. In 2017, Chris landed a role in "Manhunt: Unabomber." Since 2021, he's portrayed William Bishop on the Queen Latifah crime series "The Equalizer." The actor has been married to actress Tara Wilson since 2012. They share two children, Orion and Keats.

John Corbett played Aidan Shaw, one of Carrie's long-term boyfriends. He's a sweet-tempered furniture designer who ends up proposing to Carrie during season 4, but she eventually breaks his heart.

John Corbett reprised his role as Aidan in the second "Sex and the City" movie and has acted in films like "The Boy Next Door," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2" and "My Dead Boyfriend." He's also appeared on TV series including "Parenthood," "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll" and "Mata Hari." From 2016 to 2017, John portrayed Trayne Crosstown on the TV series "Still the King." In 2018, 2020 and 2021, he portrayed Dr. Covey in Netflix's hit "To All the Boys" films, and in 2021, he appeared on the short-lived legal series "Rebel." To top it off, he's also a musician! His second country album, "Leaving Nothin' Behind," was released in 2013. In 2020, John married his longtime love, actress Bo Derek, whom he's been dating since 2002.

Miranda's boyfriend-turned-husband Steve Brady was portrayed by David Eigenberg. Steve is a bartender who starts dating Miranda in the second season. They continue an on-again, off-again relationship and eventually have a kid together and marry in season 6.

Though David Eigenberg is best known as Steve from "Sex and the City," he still has a steady acting career. He's guest starred on TV shows like "Ghost Whisperer," "ER" and "NCIS" and has been starring on "Chicago Fire" as Christopher Herrmann since 2012. In 2020, he appeared in the film "Killing Eleanor." David also reprised his role in the two "Sex and the City" films. He and wife Chrysti have a son, Louie, and a daughter, Myrna.

Willie Garson portrayed Stanford Blatch, Carrie's gay bestie and go-to confidante who appeared on all six seasons of the show.

Willie Garson continued to nab tons of acting roles since his time as Stanford Blatch. From 2009 to 2014, he portrayed Mozzie on the TV series "White Collar." His film credits include "Trust Fund," The Polka King" and "Feed," among others. From 2015 to 2020, Willie portrayed Gerard Hirsch on "Hawaii Five-0." He, too, appeared in both "SATC" films. He went on to appear in the film "Before I Go" in 2021. He adopted son Nathen from the foster care system in 2009. In September 2021, Willie passed away from pancreatic cancer at 57.

Evan Handler portrayed Charlotte's lawyer love interest Harry Goldenblatt. Harry started dating Charlotte in season 5 and they eventually married and adopted a daughter from China.

After making quite the impression as Harry, Evan Handler continued on with a successful acting career. He's also well-known as Charlie Runkle, a supporting character on "Californication," on which he starred from 2007 to 2014. In 2014, he had a role on the TV series "The Astronaut's Wives Club" and in 2016, he played Alan Dershowitz on "American Crime Story." 2019 was a busy year for the actor — he appeared on the series "Fosse/Verdon," "L.A.'s Finest," "Foster Boy" and "Daughterhood." From 2019 to 2020, he also starred as Jacob Warner on the crime-drama series "Power." Evan has been married to chemist Elisa Atti since 2003. They share a daughter, Sofia.

Jason Lewis portrayed Smith Jerrod, Samantha's hot waiter-turned-actor boyfriend who she begins dating during the last season of the show.

Jason Lewis reprised his role in both "Sex and the City" films following his short but memorable time on the TV series. From 2007 to 2009, he portrayed Chad Barry on the TV series "Brothers & Sisters" and from 2013 to 2014, he played Pete Evans on "Beauty and the Baker." In 2017, he had roles in the series "Midnight Texas" as well as in three films: "Running Wild," "Pray for Rain" and "Palm Swings." He'll next appear in the film "Isolated Victim." In 2021, he received criticism after he was seen shooting feral cats with rice. In late 2019, Jason and longtime girlfriend Liz Godwin, a producer, got engaged.
