On May 3, 50 Cent was thought to be a cold-hearted bully by some. By May 6, he was thought of as a guy who simply made a mistake, but actually has a heart of gold.

Welcome to 50 Cent's week of image redemption.

The week didn't start well for the rapper, who was threatened with a lawsuit for taunting a 19-year-old airport worker named Andrew Farrell (in a video, no less) at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport, accusing him of being "high" at work. 50 even tried talking to the man, who ignored him.

Turns out, Andrew suffers from autism and Asperger's syndrome. He also has a hearing condition which forces him to wear a hearing aid. There are reports that not only does he suffer from social anxiety, he didn't even know who 50 was.

Fast forward to just the next day. 50 Cent certainly heard that he had made a huge mistake in his accusations, so he removed the video and immediately started to make amends, satisfying the father of the man he mocked.

"It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family," he said in a statement. "While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man."

In another statement, he revealed that he made a huge donation to Autism Speaks. "I want to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding," he said. "There are people that are ignored, mistreated and neglected with disabilities that need our support. Today, I have made a donation of $100,000 to this worthy cause through Autism Speaks."

He called on other entertainers to donate, as well.

On May 6, word spread of 50's huge heart, too. TMZ reported that 50 spent time in a Philadelphia hotel room with a super fan who suffers from reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome, which causes chronic pain and confines him to a bed.

The incident apparently happened last month sometime but went largely without fanfare, as 50 didn't want to call attention to it.

The man's brother was getting married in Philly and found out that the rapper was in the same hotel as him. He tracked him down and asked if he would meet with his suffering brother, who was in bed in the hotel room.

50 remained noncommittal, reportedly saying he was "trying," but he had several events to attend. However, he ended up showing up to the room and met with his No. 1 fan for 90 minutes.

What a difference a little more than 50 hours makes.
