At only 18 years old, former Disney starlet Bella Thorne has grown up in the spotlight, and she's struggled to keep her acne problem at bay the whole time. But, with the help of her sister and working closely with Burt's Bees for their #LoveYourNature campaign, she recently realized that it was time to embrace her skin, pimples or not.
"I got this pimple the other day and I said to my sister, 'Look at this! I have a press day coming up,'" Bella revealed to Us Weekly in an interview published on June 15, 2016. "And she said, 'That's a beautiful pimple, Bella. That is beautiful. Scars are beautiful.'"
The "Blended" actress has been much happier since deciding to stop dealing with harsh prescription medication like Accutane for her face.
She's been experimenting with natural, toxin-free products instead, which she seems to likes better though they haven't totally eradicated her skin issues.
"We both struggle with acne," she went on about herself and her sis. "But now, every time we get something on our face, we just [say] to each other, 'That's beautiful. I love my scars. I love my skin.' You have to change your mindset."
Bella has come up with a great way to deal with the stress of getting a zit here and there, too.
She just repeats her new mantra: "Love your skin. Love it. Love your nature!"
It also doesn't seem like her boyfriend of a little over a year, actor Gregg Sulkin, cares about a tiny blemish on his lady. They seem so in love!
In any case, just bring on the makeup-free selfies, girl! We think Bella's gorgeous no matter what.
