Courteney Cox's 12-year-old daughter Coco Arquette is starring in her first music video -- and it's making our hearts happy. The young beauty stars in the "Coco" music video by Northern Irish musician, Foy Vance. And the song title isn't just a happy coincidence, "Coco" was actually inspired by Courteney's daughter.
Here's what we love about the song and the video: instead of the music video being all about sex, drugs or doing what we want, when we want -- the video is simply about the innocence of being a young girl.
The sweet video shows Coco waking up, brushing her teeth and then setting off for a day of adventures, which include hula hooping, eating ice cream and talking a beach side walk.
Coco is Courteney's daughter with her ex-husband David Arquette. The high-profile exes, who starred in the "Scream" films together, were married 1999 and divorced in 2013. The former "Friends" star has since moved on. She's gotten re-engaged to Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid, a Northern Irish musician, who introduced her to his pal Foy a few years back.
Courteney, who directed the music video, told People magazine about how the song came to be. "Johnny brought Foy into my life a few years ago, and, immediately, he became a very close friend. He also got to know my daughter, Coco, and a song was born," explained the 52-year-old.
The mom added, "From the first time Foy played 'Coco' for me - and every time I've heard it since -- I've felt he captured, not only Coco's unique personality but also the beautiful childhood innocence that sadly, but inevitably, fades with time."
Similarly, Foy told People: "As soon as I wrote the song 'Coco' -- which started out as an off-the-cuff verse to make Coco laugh -- it was obvious that Courteney would direct the video."
Our favorite part of about this is that Coco's mom shimmy-shook her way into our hearts in Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" music video over 30 years ago! Like mother, like daughter, we guess!
