Is Demi Lovato's song "Ruin the Friendship" about Nick Jonas?
Demi Lovato released 12 songs from her sixth studio album, "Tell Me You Love Me," on Sept. 29, and one of them, "Ruin the Friendship," may be about her relationship with Nick Jonas. "Your body's looking good tonight / I'm thinking we should cross the line / Let's ruin the friendship, let's ruin the friendship / Do all the things on our minds / What's taking us all this time / Let's ruin the friendship, let's ruin the friendship," she sings in the Ido Zmishlany-produced track, which she so-wrote with Brittany Amaradio. The song also includes the lyrics, "Put down your cigar and pick me up / Play me your guitar, that song I love." (Nick, of course, plays the guitar and has a well-documented passion for cigars.) The singer-actress tells Noisey that the same person inspired both "Ruin the Friendship" and "Only Forever," another new song about falling for a friend. "I was frustrated with a certain situation, and I was like, 'You know what, I'm just going to write about it,'" she says, adding that she actually sent the songs to her former crush. "It's like, 'Hey! Here's my feelings for you!'" she says. "They knew [about my feelings], but neither of us had acknowledged [them] before." But nothing ever happened between the pair: "They had their reasons," says Demi. (Could the reason be that she previously dated her crush's big brother?) According to E! Online, the singer-actress dished on drawing inspiration for her new album from her real relationships during an interview with Australia's "Sunrise" on Sept. 29: "I would love to say who I'm singing about, but I like to keep some of that stuff personal to myself," she said. In that case, we'll just have to speculate along with the rest of the Internet!

Rachel Lindsay says Vanessa Grimaldi tried to assassinate her character
Rachel Lindsay has finally confirmed longstanding rumors that she and Vanessa Grimaldi feuded behind the scenes while competing for Nick Viall's heart on Season 21 of "The Bachelor." The subject of the rumored feud came up during a Sept. 26 Reddit AMA with Danielle Lombard, who co-starred with Rachel and Vanessa on the reality TV show. "Vanessa called Rachel something that was extremely derogatory. From what I heard it was bad. Vanessa had to be separated for the rest of the show," says Danielle, who adds that Vanessa stabbed her in the back and then "tried to do something similar to Rachel later on." Rachel spoke with ET the following day to add her two cents, saying that she distanced herself from Vanessa to avoid drama but that Vanessa ultimately confronted her about their issues. "Vanessa told me that I used 'aggressive' tones with her, and I was very upset by that. … There are so many stereotypes placed on African-American women," says Rachel, who was also offended when Vanessa called her a bully. "For her to use that phrase was offensive to me. She had no examples to match it," she says. "I also felt as a special education teacher who works with children, she was using the word frivolously." Rachel claims she gave Vanessa the opportunity to apologize, but instead, Vanessa allegedly told her, "No, you're a bully, and I told Nick that." Concludes Rachel, who confirms that she asked producers to keep her and Vanessa separated, "This was an assassination on my character." Yikes!
"Scandal" actor's neighbors get restraining order against him
According to E! News, a family that lives next to Joshua Malina in Malibu has obtained a temporary restraining order against him. The request was granted on Sept. 26 after a neighbor accused the actor, who portrays David Rosen on "Scandal," of verbally assaulting and threatening his family. "Josh Malina has been harassing my family for the past 3 yrs," claims Jarod Lam, who's accused Josh of calling his family several times from private numbers, of stopping by their home at night unannounced and of stalking them online and sending them unwanted messages. "I NEVER gave him my number and asked him to stop harassing us repeatedly," alleges Jarod. "[He] has caused my family tremendous stress when someone knocks on the door or when I get a private number call." Jarod claims the actor blames the Lam family for damaging and poisoning his trees and has accused them of trespassing on his property. Jarod also requested a stay-away restraining order — "I'm afraid he'll call again or visit us," he says — but that request was denied until a hearing.
A back infection started the decline in Hugh Hefner's health
According to TMZ, Hugh Hefner's health took a turn for the worse about two years ago when his back issues — from which he'd suffered throughout his late 80s — were compounded by an infection. Sources tell TMZ that the Playboy founder could barely walk without assistance after developing the infection, which eventually left him bedridden. A couple weeks ago, he reportedly caught a bug that his immune system "simply couldn't fight" in his weakened condition. Though the bug was only "a mild illness," Hef's friends and family reportedly "knew it would probably be too much for him." He died at the age of 91 on Sept. 27, 2017.

Ricky Martin has big, BIG plans for his upcoming wedding to fiance Jwan Yosef. "It's going to be a great event. And people will be talking about it," he told Ocean Drive magazine. "We're a modern family, and I think people need to see [us]." Added the singer, "I want to normalize the beauty of our family. That's why I'm making it public and I am going to share my wedding with the world." That said, there's not a whole lot to share at this stage in the planning process: "Planning a wedding is super overwhelming," admits the singer, who says he wants to tie the knot during a three-day event "hopefully" next spring. "We want to do it right," he says. "Right now we're just dealing with the invitations and everything. We also have to deal with the fact that most of my fiancé's family is from Syria. So maybe they won't be able to come into this country. So we might consider doing it in Stockholm or in Spain."
