Dwayne Johnson's daughter Simone Johnson is fighting off online critics of her professional wrestling name, even begging them to be more original.

On Sunday, May 29, Simone, who has a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, announced that she would use Ava Raine as her in-ring moniker. Fans immediately expressed their disappointment, as they assumed the 20-year-old would pay homage to her famous father, who wrestled under the name The Rock.
"Pebbles!! Her dad's the Rock why not!?" one person said. Another added, "I'm slightly disappointed she won't be known as The Pebble." An avalanche of people all had similar tweets recommending she go by "Pebble."
Simone didn't take the criticism in stride, telling her fans that she's heard it all before.
"I beg of you guys to find a new joke. anything," she said in a tweet.
Simone also posted an image of a Google search of different kinds of rocks. "Nothing in this category please xx," she wrote.
As fans continued to tweet out their unsolicited opinions, Simone defended herself, writing, "I probably sound like a broken record & hopefully this is the last I'll mention this but I don't understand why people being portrayed as separate individuals from their family name is such a heated topic. A name doesn't discredit any prior accomplishments from any family."
Seemingly unaffected by the criticism, Simone then added, "I could build my entire career around my father & people would still bash me anyway."
