Former 'Housewives' star Gretchen Rossi using IVF to get pregnant

Former "Real Housewives Of Orange County" star Gretchen Rossi is ready to become a mom... if only it were that easy.

In speaking to The Daily Mail, Gretchen said she and her fiance Slade Smiley are trying to start a family, and they've been trying in vitro fertilization to do so.

"It is no secret that we tried IVF in the past and Slade also had his vasectomy reversed but we are going to try again to see if we can get pregnant," she said. "We have had good feedback from our doctors about our bodies and God willing I can get pregnant in 2018."

A child, she said, would complete their life together.

"I know that Slade and I would make great parents because we both love kids and I feel like I am a great mom to our three dogs, so, let's give it a shot," she said.

It's fair to say that if she does get pregnant, Gretchen's child won't be on reality TV anytime soon, as she left "Housewives" four years ago. While she has no regrets about leaving, she is a bit jealous of some of things the women have done, like meeting Oprah and going on exotic vacations.

"Look, some of those trips and experiences I had were amazing and I would be lying if I said I did not miss those and some of the fun times I had with the other women, but that's about it," she said. "But being in a Real Housewife can be brutal too - those ladies can be really tough and it brings a lot of negative energy with it as well. I do not miss the fighting, and all that drama can be very toxic with people saying horrible lies just for a pay check."
