In a post, Roberts shared a video of himself playing music during his free time.
"Something we all wish we had more of…. And I'm not talking about my guitar playing," he told his audience.

The AI software placed a note under his video claiming he died.
"John Roberts, the musician mentioned, recently passed away on February 3, 2025, which might add a layer of poignancy to this post showcasing his guitar playing," the community message read.
"The post humorously references the desire for more time or skill in guitar playing, not directly related to any specific news or event but resonates with musicians' common sentiment," Grok continued.

Roberts, who was seemingly surprised by the claims, quickly corrected the assertion and proved that he is doing well.
"Oh my…either Grok's algorithm needs a little tweak….or I'm in trouble," he joked.

Fans were able to share their sense of humor about the mishap.
"Wow, after passing away you're still pretty active," one user replied.
"The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated," another quipped.

AI is becoming more popular, but one person noted that the television personality can inform the software that his account is still active.
"Grok really is like C-3PO you can correct him in real-time, just tell him you are still alive, and he'll fix it," one insightful user explained. "He is a real learning AI, the best I've met, he makes me look like a genius."

An English guitar lover with the same name did, in fact, pass away. The Brit and the Fox News host coincidentally have the same name and hobby.
