G-Eazy has been arrested following a violent bar brawl that occurred in New York City over the weekend.
TMZ said the rapper is facing a misdemeanor assault charge for his alleged involvement in an apparent melee. Prior to the arrest, G-Eazy had been listed as a suspect.
During the weekend fight, one person went to the hospital and was treated with stitches after being hit in the head with a glass bottle during the alleged altercation at the Standard Hotel, reports indicate. Page Six reported that the injured man is socialite Daniel Chetrit, who was at the hotel's bar supporting influencer friend Zack Bia as he deejayed the evening. (Daniel is pals with Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner.)
TMZ added that the "No Limit" rapper and his friends were at the hotel when they took issue with a few other guys, which is when the man — supposedly Daniel — was hit with the bottle. The brawl soon moved outside. There, G-Eazy allegedly punched another man in the head, but that victim reportedly refused medical treatment.
"They are two super-interconnected groups. They're all friends, and something set someone off, and G-Eazy's crew ended up bottling one of Zack Bia's friends [Daniel]," an insider told Page Six. "Zack had nothing to do with it. He was just there. One of G-Eazy's friends smashed a bottle over Daniel's head."
A day after the alleged incident, G-Eazy attended the MTV Video Music Awards.
