Australian actress Melissa George, who had recurring roles in a slew of popular shows, including "Grey's Anatomy and "Alias," has reportedly been hospitalized after allegedly being assaulted by her partner of four years.
According to French website Purepeople, Melissa was taken to Cochin Hospital in Paris after she showed up at a police station early Wednesday morning with bruises on her face, while claiming she felt faint and was in pain.
Melissa has been with Jean David Blanc for four years and they share two children.
"According to statements by the actress ... she was assaulted by her companion. The police were called last night to intervene in the centre of Paris," M6info reported. "In shock, Melissa George, had a swelling of the face and complained of pain, nausea and dizziness."
French media is claiming that no one has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.
The Daily Mail said it has confirmed with Paris police that Melissa is in the hospital.
Melissa's face is fairly well known to American TV audiences. In 2008 and 2009 she starred in eight episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" as Dr. Sadie Harris. She also held a large role in the Jennifer Garner-led series "Alias" from 2003-2005.
From 2013-2014, she starred in "The Good Wife" as Marilyn Garbanza. Most recently, she was on NBC's "The Slap" and NBC's "Heartbeat," a medical drama where she played the lead character alongside Dave Annable. The show was canceled after one season.
She also starred in two episodes of "Friends."
Melissa and Jean reportedly met at a BAFTA after-party in 2011 and started dating in 2012. In February 2014 they welcomed son Raphael. Last November they welcomed son Solal.
"Thank you to my love, Jean David, for giving me the best gift in my life," she wrote about Jean on social media after Solal's birth. "I love you."
