Another day, another Duggar. Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald are close to adding to their brood via adoption.

Jessa and Ben have previously spoken about wanting to adopt — in fact, they discussed adoption before they were married in November 2014 and before they welcomed their son Spurgeon a year later.

The "19 Kids and Counting" alum told Us Weekly she and Ben are finalizing the paperwork to give their son a sibling.

"We don't know what the future holds, but as the Bible says, 'Man plans his way, and God directs his steps,'" Jessa said. "So we want to move forward with paperwork and a home study, and just be ready for however God opens those doors."

She added, "We have many friends who have walked this road, so we have seen firsthand the amazing power of adoption. There are so many kids out there who are longing for the love of a family, and we feel strongly about opening our hearts and our home to welcome them in."

Jessa and Ben put their adoption plans on hold when she was pregnant with their firstborn — trust us, there will be more, considering she's a Duggar. She's consulted with counselors who told her it was best to wait until her son was at least nine months old before bringing another child into the mix.

Spurgeon is now 5 months old.

The "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" star says she and Ben "would love to adopt many kids," but she doesn't know the exact number.

"It's not really about any specific number, but cherishing and loving the ones God brings to us — whether that be just one, or whether it be more, we'll be grateful," she says.

In a perfect world, though, she wants a bundle of kids, saying she "absolutely loved being part of such a big family growing up."

"I would love a house full of kids!" she said. "Ben jokes about wanting 15 sons, but I imagine we will probably have a good mix of boys and girls."

Fifteen children? Well, they got one down and it sounds like another could be headed their way soon.
