Katy Perry wins Twitter! On Friday, July 1, 2016, the pop star hit a new milestone for the social media site, raking in a whopping 90 million followers to her account. Yes, we said 90 m-i-l-l-i-o-n!
Twitter itself posted about the record-breaking numbers first, shouting out a congratulations for the "Roar" singer.
"It's party time, @katyperry! With 90 million on the guest list, we're gonna need a really big dance floor."
Katy, 31, quickly replied, "Dang this is tight."
Justin Bieber falls in second place with 83.9 million loyal Belieber followers. And, a close third? Katy's frenemy Taylor Swift with 79 million.
The singers have been rumored to be feuding since 2014, when Taylor alluded to a mystery artist (probably Katy) trying to steal her dancers and take down her tour.
Just recently, the release of Katy's 2016 perfume Mad Love sparked even more drama. The name of her scent could be a jab at Taylor's song "Bad Blood," which includes "mad love" in the lyrics.
But, let's just focus on Katy's Twitter accomplishment for now. Congrats!
