Lindsay Lohan is engaged. She's not engaged. Wait, yes she is.
Anyone else getting whiplash?
After LiLo turned up at a Duran Duran concert over the weekend wearing a massive rock on her left ring finger, multiple outlets reported her boyfriend of eight months, Egor Tarabasov, had popped the question.
On April 12, however, a rep for the actress denied the couple was engaged, telling People in pretty unequivocal terms, "this story is untrue and holds no merit."
Two days later, the New York Post reported several friends of Lindsay's had confirmed she was engaged, despite the denial from her spokesperson.
That might explain why Lindsay has proceeded to wear the 5-carat emerald oval ring, which Egor reportedly bought her after she fell in love with it at an auction, on various public outings in New York since the news broke.
On April 14, Lindsay and her 22-year-old Russian businessman beau were spotted in New York's SoHo neighborhood, where Lindsay braced herself from the chilly spring air but made no effort to hide the massive sparkler on her hand.
Ditto the day before, when a yellow coat-clad LiLo sported the ring in plain view of photographers as she joined her father, Michael Lohan, at Lure Fishbar for lunch.
Whatever their marital plans may be, Lindsay and Egor are clearly smitten with one another. Egor's become a staple photo subject on Lindsay's social media, as has the word "love," which she recently used to caption a black and white pic of her man's shirtless bod beneath a suit jacket.
The couple moved in together in London after Egor met Lindsay's family in New York over the holidays.
According to Michael and Dina Lohan wholeheartedly approve of Egor and think he "keeps [Lindsay] out of trouble" -- no small feat, if history is any indication.
Egor seems to get along well with Lindsay's brother, too; on April 14, she shared an Instagram pic of the younger Michael Lohan with his girlfriend, captioning it, "my brother and his beautiful woman with me and my love."
If nothing else, Lindsay and her man deserve congratulations on their happiness -- whether they make it official or not!
