A $2.4 million home in New Orleans believed to be owned by Beyonce caught fire, and the blaze took more than two hours to extinguish.
Multiple outlets reported that the 1-alarm fire at the historic home began on July 21 at around 6:15 p.m. It was finally put out around 8:30 p.m. It took 22 firefighters to extinguish the blaze.

No one was injured and it didn't appear that anyone was in the home at the time of the fire. Reports said a properly working smoke alarm alerted the fire department. The cause of the fire isn't known.
"If they didn't get there when they did, it could have been much worse. It's a historic home," a fire department spokesperson told The New York Post.
While the home isn't directly listed as Beyonce's property, it was purchased in 2015 by Sugarcane Park LLC, a company managed by Bey's mother. Sugarcane's mailing address is also the same as Bey's management company, Parkwood Entertainment.
Realtor.com claims the property was built in 1927 as a Presbyterian church before it was re-purposed as a ballet school. In 2000, it was converted into a home. The three-story home is spectacular, as it spans 15,200 square feet, features a main residence, 3 separate apartments, 26-foot ceilings and a green roof.
