"Real Housewives Of New Jersey" star and villain Johnny "The Greek" Karagiorgis has died of a heart attack.

The news was first reported on June 5 by the blog, All About The Real Housewives, and it has since been confirmed by several news outlets in New Jersey.

Johnny and his wife Penny Karagiorgis owned a New Jersey hair salon, which was frequented by several members of the "Housewives" cast.

Johnny, not a full-fledged member of the RHONJ family, was a bit of a lightning rod when he was featured on the show. In 2013, Joe Gorga approached Johnny at Kim DePaola's Posche 2 store opening regarding controversial remarks that had allegedly been made about his wife Melissa.

A confrontation between Johnny, Joe, Chris Laurita and Jacqueline Laurita resulted in an all-out brawl that was never aired. Afterward, Johnny and his wife filed a lawsuit against the three. In the trial, the three defendants testified that Johnny was obsessed with all the cast members and obsessed with fame. Reports claim that Johnny allegedly mocked the Lauritas' son, who has autism, hence their involvement in the fight. He denied those claims.

In a civil lawsuit, he also claimed reality show producers engineered the fight.

After the lawsuit, Johnny and Penny were never seen on the show again.

On Sunday, Jun 5, Penny posted several images of her husband on her Facebook page.
