When it comes to Shay Mitchell's body, it's the opposite of a number's game.
The "Pretty Little Liars" actress said she's never even weighed herself.
While speaking to Shape, Shay spoke about her workout routines, her diet and her idea of being fit.
"I'm more confident and optimistic than not. Every one of us has insecurities. I have a whole bunch of them, but I don't dwell on them," she said. "Instead I focus on my strengths."
For Shay, strength is a far more important thing than weight.
"For me exercise is all about getting stronger. It's not about weight," she said. "I've never even weighed myself. I don't think you can trust the scale."
Like many, Shay said she sometimes struggles to get to the gym. When she's there, though, you can be assured of one thing: she won't be red carpet ready in any way.
"You will never find me with an ounce of makeup on when I go to the gym. I can guarantee you that," she said.
While Shay doesn't fret about her appearance at the gym, she also doesn't crucify herself if she eats on the unhealthy side.
"I don't stress about what I eat. I will never stress about what I eat," she said. "If I eat a whole entire pizza to myself the night before, I don't worry. I just work out the next day. I think the stress for your body is worse than anything you could consume."
Asked what she loved about her body, she said, "I love my shape because it's my own. I think women should celebrate their bodies in all shapes and sizes because there's no other body like it out there. That's something to celebrate."
