Less than a year after ABC announced Paula Faris was moving from "Good Morning America" to "The View," rumors are already circulating that suggest she won't be back in the fall.

"ABC News was hoping [Paula] would bring a more conservative perspective to the show because she's a conservative Christian. But she doesn't own her opinions and the audience never connects with anyone who's pretending," an insider told the New York Post.

The sentiment Faris -- a journalist known for the objectivity and neutrality her profession demands -- is more reserved with her viewpoints than audiences would like isn't new. It's even mentioned on her Wikipedia page.

But the Post's insider says the network now has data to back up viewers' purportedly negative reaction to her and won't hesitate giving her the boot.

"ABC News did research and Paula scored some of the lowest numbers ever that the network had seen," the source said before fanning the rumor of an ouster by pointing out Whoopi Goldberg would be "elated" to see Faris go.

"[Whoopi] as never been a fan of Paula's," said the snitch. "The tension on-air has been so thick you could cut it with a knife. Whoopi never misses an opportunity to bite her head off over any given topic."

Not everyone close to the show is hearing similar things about Faris being fired.

Another source told the tab, "I haven't heard anything about any research," adding,

"She works hard and everyone loves Paula. She's a journalist. Her job is to be objective. She was never brought to the table to have the same role as Joy Behar."

A rep for "The View" was similarly dismissive of the rumor Faris is on her way out, saying, "Paula is a great addition to the team, and she'll absolutely be back as a co-host next season."

Meanwhile, Michelle Collins was reportedly axed in June. In February, a report surfaced claiming Goldberg was "at war with the management" and wanted to be fired. Last fall, the network dismissed a petition to get rid of Raven-Symone, although sources tell the Post she's also likely to lose her seat on the morning show.
