"If you're going to have a vaguely fascist parade, do it right," Bill Maher told panelists.
Despite the seriousness of Maher's claims, Congressman Wesley Hunt defended Donald Trump's military celebration.
"And you know what I saw? I saw the president salute the Corps of Cadets as they walked past him," Hunt shared. "I watched him salute the 75th Ranger Regiment as they walk past him, I sat there and watched the fireworks behind the Washington Monument."

Wesley Hunt, who is a Republican, noted how Joe Biden appeared disengaged while 11 dead servicemen were returned to the country from Afghanistan in 2021.
"And you what I thought? D***, that's absolutely outstanding. And it's far better than [former President] Biden checking his watch when bodies were being returned to Dover," Hunt defensively said.

Donald Trump's gathering was intended to celebrate the military — though it also coincided with his birthday, sparking backlash from critics.
"And so, the dichotomy of what we're seeing with President Trump and his patriotism saluting the flag actually making an effort rather you like it or agree with the execution, the effort is there, that's all we want to see," Wesley Hunt shared.

Despite making headlines, Donald Trump bragged about the event with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Monday, June 16.
"We had the parade the other day. They said 100 percent chance of rain. It didn't rain," Trump told Carney at the G7 Summit.
