On a recent episode of CNN NewsNight, Scott Jennings, former White House spokesman Pete Seat and political activist Cornel West debated Donald Trump's airstrikes in Iran in support of Israel without Congressional consent. "The Iranians do not speak the language of diplomacy unless force is used, and that is what President Trump and the United States used … in a precision, perfection way," Seat argued. "It's illegal, unconstitutional," West fired back. "It is not illegal in any way, shape, or form!" Seat responded. "Of course, it is a violation of international law. You can't violate national sovereignty of a country," West insisted. Jennings interjected, pointing out, "Why? We do it all the time." Replied West, "I know because America violates international law all the time. You would think morality ought to play some role." Questioned Jennings, "Who's going to stop us? You think it's immoral to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon? Who's the moral actor here, Iran or the United States?"

Following Donald Trump's controversial military action against Iran, the president claimed the attack on Tehran helped "end the war." Trump claimed at the NATO summit, "I don't want to use an example of Hiroshima. I don't want to use an example of Nagasaki — but that was essentially the same thing that ended that war. Had we not succeeded with that hit, that hit ended the war. If we didn't take that out, they would have been, they'd be fighting right now."

After reports surfaced that the United States' bombing of Iranian nuclear sites only set the country's development of weapons back by months, Donald Trump slammed journalists and media outlets who reported the military action didn't completely take out its targets. "Natasha Bertrand should be FIRED from CNN!" he wrote on Truth Social. "I watched her for three days doing Fake news. She should be IMMEDIATELY reprimanded and then thrown out 'like a dog.' She lied on the laptop from hell story and now she lied on the nuclear sites story, attempting to destroy our patriot pilots by making them look bad when, in fact, they did a GREAT job and hit 'pay dirt' — TOTAL OBLITERATION!"
