Jon Stewart noted that Donald Trump's reaction to journalistic pushback highlights the flaws within his administration: "Boy, this has just been everything that is so difficult about this administration just on display in the moment. Even actions that it might take that can be successful are fraught with his fragility at all times," he said on the Thursday, June 26, episode of his "Weekly Show" podcast.

Jon Stewart asserted that Donald Trump's words aren't necessarily proof of the plants being destroyed: "You just think, 'Hey, man, if it's real and all the things that you said you had accomplished had been accomplished, then it shouldn't be that hard to not be so defensive and angry all the time,'" he said.

Jon Stewart noted how Donald Trump's behavior is creating a unique environment with the press: "It is just beyond the silliness, and if anybody pushes back, they demand 100% fealty, anything beyond that sets off anger and frustration because of the fragility," he said.

Donald Trump called
The New York Times and CNN "scum" for their reporting on the targeted airstrikes against Iran. On Wednesday, June 25, he took to Truth Social to
publicly attack journalist Natasha Bertrand: "Natasha Bertrand should be FIRED from CNN! I watched her for three days doing Fake News. She should be IMMEDIATELY reprimanded, and then thrown out 'like a dog,'" he wrote. "She lied on the Laptop from Hell Story, and now she lied on the Nuclear Sites Story, attempting to destroy our Patriot Pilots by making them look bad when, in fact, they did a GREAT job and hit 'pay dirt' — TOTAL OBLITERATION!"
