Following her visit to Hiroshima, Japan, the site of the first atomic bombing in 1945, Tulsi Gabbard released a three-minute video calling out world leaders for escalating nuclear tensions."Because as we stand here today, closer to the brink of nuclear annihilation than ever before, political elite warmongers are carelessly fomenting fear and tensions between nuclear powers," she said on Tuesday, June 10.
She then accused those in power of protecting themselves while putting ordinary people at risk.
"Perhaps it's because they are confident that they will have access to nuclear shelters for themselves and for their families that regular people won't have access to," she continued. "So it's up to us, the people, to speak up and demand an end to this madness."

Tulsi Gabbard's latest video comes as President Donald Trump continues nuclear negotiations with Iran — and admitted things aren't looking optimistic.Trump revealed he is losing hope that Iran will agree to end all uranium enrichment but remains determined not to allow Tehran to use atomic weapons.
"I'm getting more and more — less confident about it," Trump said on the June 11 episode of the "Pod Force One" podcast.

President Donald Trump further voiced his frustration, claiming Iran is stalling for unknown reasons: "They seem to be delaying, and I think that's a shame, but I'm less confident now than I would have been a couple of months ago. Something happened to them, but I am much less confident of a deal being made," he said. The U.S. has long aided in international nuclear negotiations — including recent efforts involving Russia and Ukraine, as well as Israel and Gaza.
