It's time to round up the biggest fashion risk takers and rule breakers of June 2018! First up, Chloe Grace Moretz — who must have gotten dressed in the dark, because that's the only explanation we can muster for this unfortunate getup she wore to the Champs Elysees Film Festival in Paris on June 18. The star donned Prada, but the combination was mind-boggling! She paired a black, red and white floral-print blouse with a pair of green, brown and white geometric-print trousers. And if that wasn't enough of an eyesore, she added some green velvet pumps to finish off this gnarly look. Keep reading to check out even more of this month's best and worst style moments…
Ciara shut down the pink carpet at the Victoria and Albert Museum Summer Party on June 20, rocking his hot-pink velvet jumpsuit and jacket combo by Tom Ford. We're obsessed with the shade, the cut, the concept — everything! A+, Ciara!
Mandy Moore's MTV Movie & TV Awards look on June 16 was a big disappointment. Her silver Alberta Ferretti minidress featured silver embellishments on the shoulders and at the hemline, but the dress overall wasn't a great fit. Paired with that dramatic, slicked-back hair, the whole look fell flat for us. Mandy deserved more!
Bring on the florals! On the official first day of summer, June 21, Gwyneth Paltrow wore this lovely white dress with a pink, blue and yellow floral print. We adored the pretty, feminine fabric, the frock's funky single sleeve and its asymmetrical neckline. Her white sandal selection cemented this look as a winner.
Too! Many! Stripes! Victoria Justice rocked this busy eyesore of an ensemble to the amfAR generationCURE Solstice event in New York City on June 21. And though the teal, pink, red, black and white colors looked great together, that all-over stripe on the pants, crop top and jacket was just overwhelming. But we did like her topknot and hoops combo!
Zoey Deutch nailed early summer style in New York City on June 20 in this adorable, breezy red dress with white detailing and a white belt. The basket purse and white flats just scream summer and made us wish we were off to a barbecue or pool party!
We barely recognized Tyga under that baggy tan denim jacket and those even baggier pants. The rapper arrived at the BET Awards on June 24 nearly drowning in this outfit, which also featured a graphic T-shirt and some hideous sneakers. Pass!
Pink and red don't typically go well together, but Serena Williams can make anything work! The tennis superstar rocked this cute pink slinky dress with a pair of pointy-toe red pumps at an event in New York City on June 20 and made us want to break that fashion rule right along with her!
Paris Jackson rocked a messy ensemble at the Boohoo x Paris Hilton Launch Party in Los Angeles on June 20. The star wore a pale pink cold-shoulder top with oversized, long sleeves with matching pants — but that's where things get confusing. The pants seem to be sheer from the thigh down, but the legs also have huge slits that show off more of her legs — yet the pants are a bellbottom style and flare at the bottom. What?! She topped off this questionable getup with super-messy hair and a boho-style bag.
Hands-down the best dressed man of the month? Trevor Jackson, who rocked this incredible Giorgio Armani rainbow-striped suit at the BET Awards on June 24. He completed the great look with a half-unbuttoned black dress shirt and black boots.
Sure, we loved the rich teal color of Olivia Munn's Galvan jumpsuit, but that plunging neckline, the short sleeves and the tie detail with multicolored fringe were so distracting. Her MTV Movie & TV Awards one-piece was just trying to pull off too much at one time, making it one of our least favorite looks of the night on June 16. Something we liked even less than the outfit? The bizarre accessory she wore in her hair that definitely goes down as the strangest addition of the month. See it next!
Is that… a hand?! Yep, Olivia Munn held her hair back in a loose, low ponytail with a super-creepy clip that looked like a tiny hand. Why, Olivia? Just… why?
Keri Russell made animal print look chic at the Maisonette's 1st Birthday Celebration in New York City on June 20! The star wore this amazing long-sleeved minidress complete with a tie detail at the neckline. She finished it off flawlessly with those pointy-toe black pumps with a delicate strap.
This wasn't our cup of tea, but we have to give credit where credit is due! Blac Chyna's June 24 BET Awards dress was a work of art! Completely made of chain mail, this look did some pretty impressive things with the unconventional dress material and still managed to cover everything.
Looking fabulous, Mariska Hargitay! The beloved actress looked sleek and summer-ready in this crisp white dress at the International Television Festival opening ceremony in Monaco on June 15. We especially loved the floor-length gown's grandiose asymmetrical cape.
Brooklyn Beckham mixed high and low on the pink carpet at the Victoria and Albert Museum Summer Party on June 20, pairing Saint Laurent with Vans. Unfortunately, the messy mixed look came across as sloppy, and we weren't fans of the famous kid's odd combo — or that utilitarian keychain he wore clipped to his belt.
Martha Hunt married two of the biggest trends this season — menswear-inspired and loungewear — with this amazing Peter Pilotto look! The model donned a gold silk pantsuit, complete with pockets and a tasseled belt to give it a pajama vibe, and finished it off with sandals in the same shade at the Cartier Queen's Cup at Windsor Great Park in England on June 17, and we loved every inch of it!
Sara Bareilles seems to have an affinity for wearing Temperley London and after this dress… we think maybe she should reevaluate her relationship with that designer! She wore this hideous short-sleeved frock, which seemed to be comprised of a star and geometrical print in various shades of blue and silver, to the Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on June 14.
One of our favorite looks of the month? Katherine Langford's MTV Movie & TV Awards ensemble on June 16! The "13 Reasons Why" star donned a dramatic, stunning strapless velvet dress by Giorgio Armani, which featured a cut-out along the neckline. But her hair accessory was our favorite part! Check it out next….
Adore! Katherine Langford accessorized her Giorgio Armani dress with a high ponytail tied with a large black tulle bow. The glam addition was the perfect choice for that fabulous gown. Her winged eyeliner and pink lip completed this perfect look.
Charlie Puth, is that you? The pop star was almost unrecognizable on the Radio Disney Music Awards red carpet in Los Angeles on June 22! He was rocking an old-school Kate Gosselin hairstyle, a pink shirt with black polka dots, bright blue pants and a pair of sneakers resulting in a bizarre, mismatched ensemble.
Head to toe Gucci? Yes, please! 2 Chainz rocked this Gucci-print suit to the BET Awards on June 24, finishing his look off with equally snazzy Gucci loafers.
Brie Larson donned this sweet pink Carolina Herrera number to the Women In Film Crystal and Lucy Awards in Los Angeles on June 13, and we were all heart-eyes for the heart-dotted design! The strapless frock featured a full tulle skirt and tiny black hearts printed all over the dress, but she lost us with her shoe choice! Brie donned shiny blue satin sandals with the dress, resulting in a mismatched vibe that nearly ruined the whole outfit for us!
Princess Beatrice, fashion icon? For the Victoria and Albert Museum Summer Party in London on June 20, the young royal donned this gorgeous white long-sleeved minidress, complete with a large ruffle down the right side, and finished off her look with royal (ha!) blue pumps trimmed with gold.
With this influx of chic menswear-inspired ensembles, there are bound to be some that miss the mark. Take Emily Ratajkowski's attempt, for example. We weren't crazy about the gray Prada pantsuit she rocked — sans shirt — at an event for Kerastase Club in Los Angeles on June 14. The suit jacket and trousers all ended in excessive feathered fringe that looked more costume-y than couture.
We really liked the ensemble that Alison Brie wore to the Women In Film Crystal and Lucy Awards in Los Angeles on June 13. The star rocked a navy Max Mara jumpsuit with a strapless neckline, but unlike Brie Larson, her shoe choice actually elevated her look! The star paired it with funky yellow heels, which brought an unexpected pop of color.
Natalie Portman rocked a polarizing Miu Miu design to a screening of "Eating Animals" in New York City on June 14. The star donned a strapless white gown with black polka dots, a sweetheart neckline and tiered, ruffled layers, which was sweet but seemed a little too saccharine for our taste.
We're still obsessing over the dreamy iridescent pink Prada dress that Madelaine Petsch wore to the MTV Movie & TV Awards on June 16. We appreciated how she went super-minimal with her accessories and beauty look, keeping the attention on that amazing gown. See how this glam dress moved next!
A Prada princess! Madelaine Petsch's iridescent gown was fit for a princess, complete with awesome spinning potential! The star did a twirl on the red carpet, showing off all the details — including how that pink layer of tulle sat atop a shimmering and sparkling bottom layer.
We have to give Raven-Symoné credit — her all-black look at the Radio Disney Music Awards on June 22 was a lot sleeker than what we've seen her wearing on recent red carpets. But, as usual, one element lost us — this time it was her hair and makeup! Let's take a closer look…
Upon closer inspection, Raven-Symoné's updo, with its multicolored strands, was so odd, it almost worked. We're equally puzzled by her makeup, which included some of the funkiest eyeliner positioning we've ever seen!
We loved the sleek jumpsuit that Maggie Siff wore to the International Television Festival opening ceremony in Monaco on June 15. The all-black look featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and wide legged pants, which worked perfectly with those black peep-toe heels and that clutch.
Sorry, Terry Crews! A scarf on the red carpet in the summer will always be a miss! The star added the odd accessory to his light-colored suit on the BET Awards red carpet and baffled us all!
We loved Anna Camp's black-and-white getup at a Serta Mattress event in Hollywood on June 19. The star sported this sweet dotted off-the-shoulder gown with bow detailing along the sleeves and finished off the look with darling black-and-white peep-toe heels.
Too cute! Amber Stevens West put her burgeoning baby bump on display at the "Antiquities" premiere in Los Angeles on June 16. We loved her sparkly dark gray getup comprised of a cropped and ruffled short-sleeved top and matching wide-legged pants, which made for the perfect maternity two-piece!
What's going on here, Lil' Kim? From the cropped sweatshirt to the glimpse of bra to the corset-like belt all ending in white sweatpants… there's nothing to like about the star's getup at the Boohoo x Paris Hilton launch party in Los Angeles on June 20.
In theory, lavender, gold and black shouldn't work together, but Maria Borges proved that it can! The beauty rocked this sleeveless pale purple Mulberry minidress with gold polka dots and black fur trim at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London on June 19 and scored a fashion hit! She paired it with a matching shrug and a purse in the exact same purple shade. See it from behind next!
From the back, the fun tiered layers of the Mulberry frock stand out more, and Maria Borges was able to show off the matching shrug, which also featured fur trim.
Padma Lakshmi really underwhelmed us at the VH1 Trailblazer Honors in New York City on June 21. The star wore this strange strapless frock comprised of gray-and-white stripes, an asymmetrical hemline and a big black sash at the waist.
Lily Collins looked ready for summer at the Cartier Queen's Cup at England's Windsor Great Park on June 17 in this floral-printed confection. The ruffled, dreamy dress by Johanna Ortiz was accessorized perfectly with a bright red clutch and fun fascinator.
If it makes us nervous, it's a miss! That means we weren't fans of Liv Pollock's MTV Movie & TV Awards getup, which looked seconds away from a wardrobe malfunction. She sported a tiny white strapless crop top with a matching white skirt that seemed to literally be held together by strings.
We're obsessed with Ella Purnell's Chanel getup at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London on June 19! The up-and-comer rocked a sleeveless white-and-cream frock featuring fun pom-pom detailing along the neckline and midway down the skirt.
Would it truly be a hits and misses gallery without a flagrant miss from Rita Ora? We don't think so, and the star didn't disappoint at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City on June 12 when she showed up in this Tom Ford frock. From its bright yellow hue to its beaded sleeves and asymmetrical hemline ending in sheer fabric that ran a bit too long, there's nothing to like about this getup. Yet she managed to top it off with an even more insane hairstyle! See that next…
Rita Ora's hair was even more puzzling than her Tom Ford gown! Though at first glance it looked like she might have accessorized with brightly colored feathers, it was actually her own hair! Yep, Rita dyed her tresses fiery orange, hot pink and peach… and we're as clueless as to why as you are!
On the heels of the 20th anniversary of "Sex and the City," Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out in New York City on June 13 and gave us a total Carrie moment! We loved her three-quarter-sleeved floral frock and the way she paired it with some killer gray statement heels.
Oh, Frankie Grande! Much like Rita Ora, Frankie can always be counted on to deliver a fashion miss. This time, it took place on June 12 at the "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" premiere in Los Angeles where he rocked the following all together: a bright yellow leather jacket, floral-print pants, baroque-print Versace high-tops, neon-yellow eye shadow and, last but not least, dinosaur-eye contacts. Despite the fashion disaster, we do give him props for his fierce dinosaur red carpet pose!
We fell hard for Lucy Hale's menswear-inspired getup at the MaxMara WIF Face of the Future event on June 12. The "Life Sentence" star donned this short-sleeved suit jacket sans shirt and paired it with wide-legged trousers then finished off her look with a pair of extremely pointy-toed pumps. Now we've got to get a better look at her equally stunning beauty look!
Lucy Hale accessorized her glam black pantsuit with dangly earrings culminating in a green gemstone. She wisely chose an updo, showing off not only those gems but her flawless warm-toned beauty look. Too pretty!
There was a whole lot going on with Naomi Campbell's Fragrance Foundation look! The supermodel donned a black sequined dress that ended in shiny fringe underneath a white-and-black fringe jacket, both by Alexander McQueen, for the June 12 fete. While separately, these pieces might have worked, combined, they're a jumbled mess.
Just like her Alexander McQueen getup, Naomi Campbell's sequined Christian Louboutin boots would have been a major statement with any other outfit. But when she paired these with her super-loud and excessively sequined dress, the shoes just got lost in the sparkly fray.
Only Rihanna's could pull off this look! The star wore Givenchy to the "Ocean's 8" New York City premiere on June 5. Her ensemble featured shiny purple pleated ruffles and the superstar kept with that purple theme by matching her eye makeup, lip and shoes to the exact same shade for a new twist on a monochromatic red carpet look.
Like most of the world, we adore Chrissy Teigen! But we didn't fall for this look. The star showed up at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation's Fourth Annual Blue Diamond Gala on June 11 in this perplexing outfit. From the yellow head wrap to the jeans underneath her quasi-wrap dress, this look of Chrissy's wasn't our favorite.
Those trousers! "13 Reasons Why" star Katherine Langford wore these amazing wide-legged black-and-gray checkered trousers to the MaxMara WIF Face of the Future event on June 12. She paired them with a black shirt and topped things off with a suit jacket atop her shoulders. Next up, a better look at her cool girl accessories!
From the layered hoop earrings to the stacks of bracelets, Katherine Langford accessorized her sleek look perfectly. And that berry lip and light eye shadow finished this off look flawlessly.
Another star too cool to wear her jacket! Abigail Spencer attended the MaxMara WIF Face of the Future event on June 12 looking like Katharine Langford's foil! The actress went with this chic all-white look, opting for a semi-sheer top and white skirt with a stark white jacket on top of her shoulders.
A swing and a miss! Nina Dobrev sported Dior at the Fragrance Foundation Awards on June 12, but we weren't fans of the funky frock. The gown featured velvet paneling around the collar and down the front while the rest of the look was comprised of sheer sequined material. Though we didn't like the dress, we were fans of her dangly earrings and bright red lip!
Tina Fey looked statuesque in this silver Thom Browne design at the Tony Awards in New York City on June 10. The star's gorgeous metallic dress featured short sleeves, a feathered skirt and a train. Equally stunning? Her earrings! Check them out next…
Tina Fey's Thom Browne gown was even more beautiful up close and rivaled the beauty of her dangling Cartier earrings. We also loved her beauty look, especially that rosy lip!
Nico Tortorella almost rendered us speechless with this one! The "Younger" star arrived at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville on June 6 in this bizarre getup, which included a tan velvet suit — sans shirt — and a cowboy hat! He also added some layered necklaces and shiny black boots, making this look one of the most puzzling of the month.
Country crooner Jillian Jacqueline had one of our favorite looks of the month! The up-and-coming star arrived at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville on June 6 in this silk jacket dress. We loved its bold, deep purple color and the crimson floral print. She elevated the look even further with a pair of funky red heels.
Jane Krakowski's ensemble at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City on June 12 left a lot to be desired. The David Koma dress, which oddly looked like a fused suit jacket, featured randomly placed black buttons, pockets and culminated in a hemline full of feathers. We just weren't fans of the funky frock, which she paired with black heels and magenta eye shadow.
Lucy Hale exemplified almost-summer street style in Los Angeles on June 12. The actress donned a cool marigold crop top with a knotted detail in the center with a pair of straight jeans and chunky black flats. That Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf iced tea also worked as a perfect accessory!
Karen Fairchild had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction on the CMT Music Awards red carpet in Nashville on June 6! The Little Big Town songstress accidentally showed off her Spanx underneath her silver minidress. The frock's short length ended up putting her undergarments on display, but even without the malfunction, we weren't fans of this odd shimmery dress.
Leave it to a pregnant supermodel to rock a look this bold on the red carpet! Chanel Iman attended the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City on June 12 in a bright red gown that showed off her burgeoning baby bump and a lot of her leg! We loved the addition of those white diamond accessories and the unexpected pink lip!
One of the most unorthodox looks on the red carpet this month? That goes to Rachel Bloom, who arrived at the Tony Awards in New York City on June 10 in… a T-shirt? Yep, the star really did rock a white tee paired with a tulle skirt emblazoned with some odd embroidery. But whose face was featured on Rachel's casual couture? Find out next…
Rachel Bloom's Tony Awards getup featured the face of Stephen Sondheim. The star had previously taken to Twitter to ask for a shirt with the Broadway legend smoking, and it worked!. A user named Ali Segel made the bizarre top, which depicts Rachel's favorite musical theater composer and lyricist enjoying one of his vices.
Summer is almost here and Nicky Hilton Rothschild is ready for the new season! The star stepped out in Los Angeles on June 12 in this cheery frock comprised of contrasting printed purple and teal fabrics. She accessorized with a teal tassel necklace and a pair of tan sandals.
Hamish Bowles took leisurewear to a new level at the Tony Awards in New York City on June 10. The Vogue editor's Etro ensemble was made up of an intense patterned robe, pajama pants and slippers.
Claire Foy attended a photocall for "The Girl in the Spider's Web" in Barcelona on June 11 in this floral frock by Erdem. We loved the royal blue shade, but the asymmetrical hemline didn't vibe with the delicate floral design and short sleeves. We also weren't fans of her strappy red shoe selection, making this a miss in our book!
