January is filled with some of the biggest awards shows of the year, which means there's sure to be some interesting red carpet fashion. Wonderwall.com is rounding up the best and worst of the month so far, starting with this disastrous look from Kate Beckinsale. It's Jennifer Lopez's first hit of the year! The superstar arrived at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards in this beautiful pale blue Elie Saab confection that featured a plunging neckline, a thick belt and a full-length flowing skirt. We appreciated the classy fashion move, especially considering most of J.Lo's other January looks fell flat.

Sarah Hyland wins the award for most extra fashion moment of the month thanks to this ridiculously insane SAG Awards ensemble she wore on Jan. 19. The "Modern Family" star arrived in this bizarre high-low gown by Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini with a plunging-to-the-navel neckline, super-short skirt in the front and extravagant train trailing behind. Unfortunately for Sarah, the bold move landed her on many worst dressed lists that night.

Nicole Kidman embraced winter white in this J Mendel jumpsuit at the Producers Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Jan. 18. The off-the-shoulder number featured pleating, ruffled sleeves and cool straight-leg pants all complemented perfectly by those embellished heels.

Ouch! Justin Bieber stepped out in Los Angeles on Jan. 18 in this unfortunate green sweatsuit — and then inexplicably accessorized with a different green-hued beanie and bright yellow sneakers.

Tiffany Haddish embraced two popular trends with this neon jumpsuit by Greta Constantine that she wore to the "Bad Boys for Life" premiere in Los Angeles on Jan. 14. The star's killer getup featured a low neckline and wide-legged pants in a bold and popular bright yellow hue.

Cynthia Erivo rocked this over-the-top Schiaparelli ballgown at the SAG Awards on Jan. 19. The dress started with a bright red bodice before giving way to a hot pink skirt with multiple tiers plus strategic ruching and ruffling and culminated in a dramatic train, which all combined to be a bit too much.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley made the case for camel and ivory while out and about in London on Jan. 23. The model sported high-waisted wide-legged trousers with an ivory tank top tucked in and topped things off with a killer coat.

Margot Robbie's Chanel selection at the SAG Awards left us with more questions than answers. The star's halter-style design featured an all-over navy plaid fabric, which featured a chain- and ribbon-adorned belt and a ruffled, tiered skirt — a strangely casual pick for such a big night. Her accessories only made things more confusing…

The top of Margot Robbie's dress included various mismatched necklaces that were seemingly sewn onto the fabric. From chunky gold chains to pearls to beads and delicate silver strands, this haphazard mixing was seemingly meant to be an organic part of the look, which makes it even more of a conundrum.

We fell hard for the frilly Dolce & Gabbana minidress that Lupita Nyong'o wore to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Jan. 20. The actress added some delicate accessories and metallic sandals to complete this pretty, romantic look.

Charlize Theron has embraced funky fashion this month, including the gown she wore to the Producers Guild Awards on Jan. 18. But her black-and-white Givenchy dress with white spaghetti straps and a neckline that flowed into a black off-the-shoulder number felt a little too haphazard for our taste.

Well, Yara Shahidi certainly made a statement while out and about in New York City on Jan. 15. Unfortunately, this super-bold daisy-covered Moncler x Richard Quinn coat that she wore over jeans and bright yellow shoes amounted to a fashion miss.

We liked the pale pink-and-white Ulyana Sergeenko ensemble that Dove Cameron wore to Entertainment Weekly's pre-SAG Awards party in Los Angeles on Jan. 18. The star's strapless dress featured delicate embellishments on the skirt before giving way to a final ruffle, which paired perfectly with shiny white satin pumps.

Not all trains are winners. If you need an example of a silhouette that just doesn't work with a train, look no further than the over-the-top pink Valentino gown that Florence Pugh wore to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Jan. 18. The frock, which featured teeny spaghetti straps and a daring neckline, culminated in a whole lot of excess fabric we weren't crazy about.

Elisabeth Moss just proved that red and pink can co-exist beautifully. She wore this sweet Monique Lhuillier gown at the SAG Awards on Jan. 19. Its long, draped sleeves and full, pleated skirt felt romantic while the red detailing at the waist gave us some early Valentine's Day vibes.

Pick a lane, Rachel Brosnahan! The busy Michael Kors gown the actress wore to the Producers Guild Awards on Jan. 18 featured both sequins and feathers, a spaghetti strap and a full sleeve plus an asymmetrical skirt — a very indecisive feel.

If you're in need of coat inspiration, look no further than the ensemble Gigi Hadid wore in Paris on Jan. 22. The model topped her blouse, jeans and bold orange boots with this amazing cream Isabel Marant coat with multicolored designs.

Pantsuits are everywhere, so these days they need to be special to stand out. That's why Camilla Belle's boring gray version landed among the misses this month. The actress attended the premiere of the musical "The Last Ship" in Los Angeles on Jan. 22 in this uninspired getup that she paired with even duller tan sandals.

Eva Longoria scored a fashion hit at the Producers Guild Awards on Jan. 18 in this bold gold gown. The frock featured a plunging neckline, sheer, shimmering sleeves and just the right amount of ruffles for a glamorous awards show ensemble.

Winona Ryder opted for an all-black goth-like ensemble at the SAG Awards on Jan. 19 that amounted to a fashion miss. Her look included a gown with a mostly sheer top half and a skirt comprised of ruffled tiers of tulle, but the most confusing part was the fringed blazer she rocked on top.

Jenna Dewan has been excelling at maternity style, and her latest look also delivered! The beauty selected this dark green Rachel Pally maxidress with an all-over floral pattern and paired it with simple black strappy sandals for an outing in Los Angeles on Jan. 15.

Laura Dern arrived at the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles on Jan. 4 in this costume-y Dries Van Noten getup. The bizarre combo of a printed bright orange jacket and gold baggy trousers was an instant miss, despite her attempt to tone it down with a black shirt and black accessories.

Kristen Stewart nailed this Alessandra Rich look at the "Underwater" premiere in Los Angeles on Jan. 7. She paired the black jacket and skirt combo with a white bandeau, layers of silver necklaces and pointy-toe lace-up white heels for an ideal dual-colored look.

Jennifer Lopez isn't used to landing on worst dressed lists, but her Golden Globes getup on Jan. 5 was a fashion disaster. The usually fabulously dressed superstar delivered a miss in this Valentino ballgown comprised of a distracting amount of fabric including an oversized gold bow on the bodice and a seriously dramatic white skirt on the bottom.

We adored the Valentino minidress that Zoey Deutch wore to the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles on Jan. 4. The frock featured an all-over red, black and purple print on white fabric with stripes breaking it up for good measure. She paired the piece with black pointy-toe heeled mules, acing this daytime red carpet look.

We don't even know where to start with this one! Audrina Patridge arrived at The Art of Elysium's 13th Annual Heaven Gala in Los Angeles on Jan. 4 in this barely there silver-and-black getup essentially made up of just strategically placed silver embellishments, black underwear and a leather jacket draped over top.

Though we bet it was tough to find earrings to rival her Fendi number, Cynthia Erivo's chandelier stunners did the trick. Just look at these diamond-studded dazzlers cascading from her ears! To balance them out, she also had more hoops and diamonds trailing up her ears to match.

Nicole Kidman delivered a bizarre miss early in the month at the Gold Meets Golden Brunch in Los Angeles on Jan. 4. The star arrived in this Chloe ensemble comprised of a gray and beige jacket with a horse motif (weird decision No. 1) atop a white blouse and jeans (weird decision No. 2) and finished it all off with dark brown loafers (weird decision No. 3). Needless to say, this getup was a flop.

Zoe Kravitz's adorable Saint Laurent dress was one of the standouts on Golden Globes night. The black-and-white confection featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and a black-and-white polka-dot print bodice juxtaposed against a much bigger polka-dot print skirt. It was all tied together with a sweet bow at the waist — an A+ style moment.

This was a very strange selection for brunch! Kaitlyn Dever arrived at the Gold Meets Golden Brunch in Los Angeles on Jan. 4 in this dramatic Simone Rocha ensemble comprised of an oversized and sequined-adorned jacket, a bralette and a mostly sheer skirt. She finished off her strange daytime selection with black heels.

Joey King has worn some interesting getups so far during awards season, but this sweet gold minidress from Markarian has been the only hit so far. The actress wore the gorgeous frock — which featured embellished straps and a sweet ruffled detail at the waist — to the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles on Jan. 4.

Rachel Brosnahan arrived on the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet in this cheery orange frock, but we weren't wild about it. The star's Carolina Herrera design featured a thin metallic bow detail at the waist and oddly placed sequined embellishments down the top half of the skirt. The actress wore this fitted Alex Perry number to a taping of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in Hollywood on Jan. 7, pairing it with cool black heels with embellished silver straps.

Sienna Miller served up a serious fashion miss at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Jan. 5 in this mess of a Gucci dress. The halter-style frock featured three different hues of fabric all haphazardly arranged resulting in one of the most questionable getups of the night.

Jenna Dewan embraced her baby bump in this red Tibi dress, which featured cap sleeves and a midi-length skirt, at the FOX Winter TCA All Star Party in Pasadena, California, on Jan. 7. When it came time to add shoes, she chose a pair of strappy sandals in the same hue as her dress.

What's going on here, Lake Bell? The actress arrived at the ABC TCA Winter Press Tour in Los Angeles on Jan. 8 in this navy Oscar de la Renta dress that started out fine but took a strange turn at the waist with a bizarrely placed tree and bird motif.

At first glance, we weren't crazy about Lucy Hale's mint green getup at the Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, on Jan. 12, but that's due to bad posing. She was blocking the best part of the dress, which we'll show you next…

Stunning, right? Lucy Hale's halter-style frock featured a darling black bow detail at the waist with pearl and gemstone embellishments dangling below, sprucing up an otherwise simple silhouette and turning this look into one of our favorites of the night.

Greta Gerwig's Palm Springs International Film Festival Gucci getup was certainly polarizing. On one hand, we loved the color combo with the bold purple velvet and pink fringed embellishments, but the overall execution with those long sleeves and an ankle-length skirt felt a little excessive in this heavy fabric.

Neons are truly having a moment! Jamie Chung sported this great long-sleeved highlighter pink gown at The Art of Elysium's 13th Annual Heaven Gala in Los Angeles on Jan. 4.

Olivia Wilde continued to make the case for brights on the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet in Santa Monica, California, on Jan. 12. The actress-director sported this fiery orange frock with puffed sleeves and a sweet pleated midi-length skirt that kept things interesting. She finished her ensemble with silver Jimmy Choo sandals, scoring a fashion hit in the process.

Este Haim from the band HAIM arrived at the "AJ and the Queen" premiere in Los Angeles on Jan. 9 in this, well, very red getup. We weren't crazy about the bass player's double-breasted leather coat that doubled as a dress, which she paired with equally bright red netted knee-high boots.

Dakota Fanning's lilac confection transformed her into a princess on the Golden Globes red carpet in Beverly Hills on Jan. 5. The star's Dior design featured sweet puffy short sleeves, braided detailing and a full pleated skirt. Next up? A better look at her jewels and beauty look….

Dakota Fanning added a Dior necklace with floral detailing to her feminine ensemble. And when it came time for hair and makeup, Dakota kept things simple, rocking her blonde tresses down and straight and adding dashes of pink on her eyes, cheeks and lips.

Cate Blanchett rarely makes fashion missteps. The Haider Ackermann polka-dot suit and blouse she wore to the FX Networks TCA Winter Press Tour Star Walk in Los Angeles on Jan. 9 would have been perfection… if not for her accessories. The usually stylish star added a brown belt to the mix and finished her look with purple boots, which both seemed like strange additions to the otherwise black-and-white ensemble.

Ginnifer Goodwin hit the red carpet at the Gold Meets Golden Brunch event in Los Angeles on Jan. 4 in this bold Khoon Hooi frock. The fun printed design featured one off-the-shoulder sleeve, one puffy short sleeve, a full skirt and the best addition of all — pockets! She paired it with navy strappy sandals.

Metallics are certainly popular at the moment, but we weren't wild about Salma Hayek's take on the trend at the National Board of Review Award Gala in New York City on Jan. 8. Her sparkly silver number by Jonathan Simkhai had an abundance of gathered fabric — at both the sleeves and the waist — and paired with those silver heels, it all felt like sparkly overkill.

It's hard to believe this was Ana De Armas's Golden Globes debut! The "Knives Out" star made a stellar fashion statement at the Jan. 5 awards show in a navy blue sequined Ralph & Russo confection paired with an equally eye-catching Tiffany & Co. necklace.
