At the 2009 V61 by V Magazine launch party in New York City, Lady Gaga left very little to the imagination — in a time when that was still considered extremely taboo! — in a completely sheer lacy red jumpsuit with an asymmetrical ruffled neckline that left half of her chest completely exposed. (At least she had the good sense to wear a tiny red thong!) She completed her look with a lacy red choker, a swath of the same red lace across her face and a sun-shaped headpiece made from what appeared to be human hair.

The papacy was not pleased! During a 2010 concert in London, Lady Gaga channeled the Pope in a hooded minidress made from a sheer structured material that exposed the cross-shaped pasties she wore underneath. She completed her look with fishnet tights and white booties.
