Wonder what Dame Judi Dench got from her daughter for her 81st birthday back in December? The gift of her first tattoo!
Yup, the "Skyfall" actress got her first inking in honor of her big birthday on Dec. 9, 2015, from her daughter Finty Williams, 43.
Though we just caught wind of the "Carpe Diem" inscription for the first time, as Judi showed it off while shaking The Earl of Wessex's hand at the Gala Evening marking the 60th anniversary of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in England on June 9, 2016 (Not to mention that "007" was glued to her back in rhinestones -- so cool).
So, why those words specifically? And, why now?
"That's my motto: Seize the day," Judi explained, via the Mirror. "Finty gave it to me for my 81st birthday - she's wonderful with surprises."
Coming from the actress who's been playing the fierce head of MI6, M, in "James Bond" movies since the early '90s, it's hard to believe this is her first tattoo. But hey, seize the day!
Next up, the newly-inked Brit is starring in "Tulip Fever," with rising star Alicia Vikander, out on July 15.
